An appalling place to stay.Don't be caught out like we were. 156 sterling for a disgusting room-an awful whiff of urine from the lino floored en-suite,hot water in both taps on one occasion and then next morning no hot water at all!Wafer-thin rags of curtains, so couldn't sleep with sunlight beaming in.Breakfast pathetic.Self service-toast,banana and cereal.Staff non-existant,as if they were... I was booked into this hotel through work for a Business Trip. I refused to stay over night at this hotel, as the rooms were so dated, dirty and scruffy. I checked in and went upstairs to my room, the first thing to catch my eye was the torn and dirty carpets in the hall ways and on the floor... More

The hotel is conveniently situated for buses and taxis into the city centre. About £6.00 each way by taxi or a day saver ticket on the bus for £3.20 per person. Outside the hotel has a well tended front garden. Entrance hall and reception are clean and tidy and staff are polite and welcoming. Our room needed a bit of... More

Stayed here for one night with friends from the US. It was just OK. Nothing very special and for the money I'm sure you could do much better!

We used the Hotel as a location for our pre-wedding drinks and had wanted to stay there on the night prior to our wedding and our wedding night (2 nights but in different rooms as I didn't want a double bed with my best man!) However after we had booked they phoned us to tell us they had a minimum... More

Honestly we were very disappointed. Is on mine road which means is very noisy. The stuff at the reception weren't friendly at all.If I would ask for something was always a NO.Looked like they did not care .Is not so close to town centre as you might think and I am sorry that I did not go to a B&B where at... This hotel does not match it's website. It is so disappointing. The duvet cover was not clean. When we returned at 10.45 after evening out the bar was open and very load music playing. This was so loud it spread all over hotel to our room. This went on until midnight when music stopped. Then guests went outside to continue... More

This hotel was great value for a reasonable price. I stayed here for three nights with a few friends. The room was clean, comfortable, and a decent breakfast was included in the price. The location was decent, either a 2 mile walk or bus ride into town but the service was tremendous, the staff was very friendly and accommodating! Would... More

Stayed here for the weekend with a group of friends. Hotel was basic but clean and warm. Staff were friendly and no-one demanded we pay upfront. Had a double and single bed in the rooms which was nice given we were expecting 2 singles. Breakfast was toast, cereal, fruit etc but was fine for what we needed. Close enough to... More
