When you are part of a tour group, you hope for the best in a hotel. Since I looked at tripadvisor reviews, I had assumed it would be okay. However, with Edinburgh being warmer than usual and the hotel having no AC in the rooms, number 219 was too warm and uncomfortable. It only had one small window we could... more

We stayed here for 3 nights after booking in advance on a cheap rate. The room (number 5) was small but overlooked the river which was nice and quiet (apart from the running water!). There aren't luxuries such as a hairdryer, toiletries or biscuits, but the room was very clean, tidy and looked like it was new. There wasn't a... more

Booked the room for 2 nights at the saver rate. However we would have been very disappointed with our stay if we had paid full price. The building has still some work going on after what appears to have been an upgrade. Our room was clean and well laid out however our friend’s room still looked unfinished. Both rooms had... more

This Travelodge is slightly outside the main city centre and is a bit of a walk from attractions like the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle. However the advantage of this was that this was the only Travelodge in Edinburgh that was offering the 29 pound discount rate when we booked. The rooms are very well-appointed (you can tell this only... more

basic travelodge, 10 mins walk from princes st, very tight parking, appears as though the place is going through a refit as our room was newly decorated with workmen busy in the passageways, all you can eat breakfast, well worth it, would use again more

We stayed for 2 nights and brought the car. There is free parking available. Rooms are clean and basic. The hotel itself is quite soulless. Internet is available but wifi access is pricey. It is 10 minutes walk from princes street. Breakfasts were good and overall thehotel we felt was value for money as long as you do not want... more

Good hotel, bit out of the way but only 10 mins wander into town.It is nothing to look at , but you don't book travelodges on that basis ! Good staff, clean rooms, the breakfast was ok and just about worth it. The alternative was going into town but it is far more convenient to be able to roll downstairs.... more

newly rerurbished hotel, room basic but very nice, staff the most helpful and pleasant I have met in any hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Just a short bus ride into the main centre of Edinburgh a great base to explore a lovely city. Definately a bargin at £9 a night. more

We arrived to something of a building site, parking was terrible. Staff at reception were polite. The room was clean and newly refurbished with nice fittings. The bathroom however had been "touched up" badly! The best way to describe the shower was a tickle. On the first night of our 2 night stay we had a fire alarm at 3... more
