Good hotel, bit out of the way but only 10 mins wander into town.It is nothing to look at , but you don't book travelodges on that basis ! Good staff, clean rooms, the breakfast was ok and just about worth it. The alternative was going into town but it is far more convenient to be able to roll downstairs.... more

newly rerurbished hotel, room basic but very nice, staff the most helpful and pleasant I have met in any hotel, nothing was too much trouble. Just a short bus ride into the main centre of Edinburgh a great base to explore a lovely city. Definately a bargin at £9 a night. more
