Room the size of a postage stamp; no elevator so watch out if you are placed on an upper storey; no laundry service; no mini fridge, and no A/C - room cooling is a plastic pedestal fan. Staff are friendly but you are basically paying for a clean very average smaller hotel very close to the centre of everything.

After reading several negative reviews on this hotel i was wondering what we would arrive to.. Upon arrival parking was easy you are shown where to park at reasonable rates just 2 min walk from hotel in their own reserved spaces.(£14-24 hours). I questioned reception about my room,it was a twin i had reserved,to see which floor level we where... More

Great location, beautiful building, helpful staff. Hotel held our bags for us until our check-in, our room was in the basement type part of the building - our room was very small but was all we needed as we were out all day and it was only for one night so was quite cosy at the end of a busy... Stayed here for one night in July. Basically just used it as room to sleep because we were out majority of the time. The staff were very helpful and kept our bags for the entire day that we were leaving. Also gave us a map on arrival which helped a lot. Room size was decent and clean. Breakfast in the... More

We selected the hotel due to the location and that they provided parking. On check in we were advised that parking was limited availability and they were full - so best to assume you are in the NCP 5 mins away. The rooms were fine, just fine and much larger than you would expect. From 7am onwards you hear lots... More

Good location, close to the train station and main Edinburgh attractions. The hotel and rooms are modern however the rooms are rather small. The room that my friend and I stayed in was tiny however the bathroom appeared to be bigger than the room itself. The staff were friendly and willing to help. Good price for what is offered.

The location is good and the staff is very helpful. The hotel is clean, comfy and a good place to stay. I really liked my room (first floor) which was tiny but just right for me. The bed was right by a window overlooking the street but I didn't find it very noisy. There is no elevator but the staff... More

The hotel is in a great location you are in walking distance of all the major landmarks whilst being just far enough away to get a peaceful night. The rooms are small but this is how they are advertised, the breakfast is pricey if on a budget but the quality of the food makes it value for money. My only... More

The hotel is definitely well located & nicely refurnished with a very attentive and dedicated staff either at front desk or at the bar. But for this kind of hotel it's disappointing not to have a lift even if the staff spontaneously offered to carry our luggage to the top floor or downstair. It's wise to avoid the standard room...
