We spent three nights here and would not hesitate to come back. Lots of reasons in no particular order. When dropping our bags off early the female receptionist invited us to the library to have coffee and shortbread -felt at home straight away. Our room had amazing views. The bath had lashings of hot water. The bed was sooo comfy.... More

Hi Guest Thank you so much for taking time to review, it is really appreciated. It feels like you have really got into the spirit of B+B Edinburgh! There are some super eateries in Leith as well as the Royal Yacht Britannia - and yes, the walk back along the Water will bring you right to the back door of... More

Stayed for one night last week and was blown away by how good this was. We were a couple with a teenage daughter and we were given a room with a double bed, a fold down double bed and a separate room with bunk beds! The room was beautifully laid out, with a partition in the middle. The view from... More

Thank you so much for taking time to review - we are delighted to appeal to the whole family. We have attempted to 'break the mould' of the the traditional B+B experience by providing a lovely library area, business centre and bar and whilst we are not a 'hotel' , the ambience and pace is more like a hotel than... this hotel has a website so misleading its ridiculous. we were booked in to stay here in march this year. however we didn't stay, it was that bad. the location is not great. quite a walk to the main area. the staff were rude and un-accommodating. there were bags everywhere downstairs - they had no secure place to hold them.... Dear Sir We are sorry you didn’t find us to your liking but, as we’ve discussed at length with your travel agent, we feel you’ve been mis-sold a full-service hotel experience when that’s not what we provide. We are not a hotel, we are a B+B and are extremely proud of the reputation we have earned on this and other... More

Right in the smack of that old beautiful city of Edinburgh. Or at least two blocks away. Old but tastefully refurbed house with a friendly and well-educated staff. Rooms are fairly big (for the price) with a nice view over the sloped garden. The library and the whiskeybar offered an interesting ambience and the barman took his job seriously. The... More

Thank you for the review - great that you have explored Edinburgh by bicycle - you can cover so much more ground this way! We are in the process of preparing some city guides for guests borrowing bikes so next time you come, perhaps you can try one out! Thank you again and we hope your tour of the UK... More

The hotel is beautiful and we had a great stay. The staff can't do enough for you. When it was raining they even gave us an umbrella to take out with us. The room was nicely decorated and we had a great view of the city. The breakfast was the best part. Rather than a hot buffet all the breakfasts... More

This was a fabulous place to stay for our first trip to Scotland. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our entire week long stay. My husband and I stayed in a lovely room on the third floor with a picture postcard view of Dean Village. My son and daughter in law had a room on the 4th floor with... More

Me and my mother stayed at the wonderful 'B&B' this past weekend. Don't be put off by the name as it is more of a boutique hotel than a B&B. Our room was on the fourth / top floor and although it was on the small side there was definitely enough room for the both of us. Also, we were... More

Thank you thank you thank you! I am in agreement - the top rooms are 'secret' and away from it all. We are thrilled you have enjoyed our ambience and the B+B experience. Our philosophy is simple - we aim to provide excellent Bed and Breakfast in all our properties but with Edinburgh, we have a real gem - the... More

I have always wanted to know what was behind the facade of this building and now I do - and I was not disappointed. The room was huge, the bed really comfortable, the staff extremely helpful and courteous and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The icing in the cake was the fact that a member of staff had taken the... Hi Fiona Thank you for reviewing and really 'feeling' the love and energy that has gone into making B+B Edinburgh the special place we know it to be. Our General Manager has a great connection with the property and there is no inch of the place that he does not know! Thank you, once again - see you soon. More

How do you rate a hotel where the staff is friendly and helpful, the building is house carefully renovated building from the 1880s but still there is something vital missing. The saying "you´ll never get a second chance to make a first impression" can be used here. Entering the "lobby" (which once was the entrance hall) you see some tables,... More

Dear Guest Thank you so much for your thoughts on B+B Edinburgh. We are not a 'hotel', we do not claim to be. But there are certain features which lend themselves to a more 'hotel' experience - the super bar with great Whiskey range and the business centre with excellent communication hub and coffee machine. The B+B Collection took over... More

Quiet and yet central this is a good place to stay in Edinburgh. We stayed 2 nights and our room was nice (although purple) and quiet as we were at the back of the hotel. Thank you so much for taking time to review. We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay at B+B Edinburgh - we agree our lift is pretty tiny! But there always Team members around to help with luggage up the stairs so please do not let this stop you coming to stay. Thank you, once again. More
