This a lovely hotel with very friendly staff in an excellent location. The breakfast was very nice but could use a few more vegetarian options. The rooms were clean, spacious and modern. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Stayed at this hotel for an overnight trip to the Xmas market. We were lucky enough to be given an upgraded room that was a delight. The room was very comfortable with wonderful views over the forth of forth. The service was second to none and the staff could not have been more helpful, especially the manager.

The lady at reception was very nice and accommodating of my request. I'd made the request at booking several months ago, and totally forgot about it--I'd asked for a room with a view of Edinburgh Castle. So she put us up on the top floor, with an amazing view of the castle (especially at night, when the whole complex lights... More

More a little hotel then a BnB, but it was wonderful and in a fantastic location a very short walk to the city highlights. Our room was on the very top floor, which proved a little warm at night, although we could open the velux windows. The upside was the fabulous views out towards the castle over the Georgian rooftops.... More

I booked this through Lastminute.com and as soon as I received my confirnation I started panicking that I should have booked a 'proper hotel'. I had no need to be worried!! We got the bus from Edinburgh Airport - the hotel was about a ten min walk maximum and easy to find. The building is beautiful both inside and out.... More

This hotel was the perfect choice! We were initially wavering between two other (much more expensive!) hotels until I spotted this one and I'm so glad I did! Beautiful hotel; large, plush and spotlessly clean rooms; and all the tea and biscuits you can eat! Don't forget to save some room for the wonderful FREE breakfast (we were going to... More

Had a great stay at B-B last weekend. Loved the location – our view from our bedroom to the castle was fabulous. I would agree with other comments on the size of the standard room and lighting. But it is a great value hotel. The building is spectacular – grand without being overbearing. The library was a great touch. The... More
