Just back from two nights at this hotel in Edinburgh which we used as a base for a trip to the Commonwealth Games. Finding accommodation was really difficult so we consider ourselves lucky to have got a room here - the hotel was clean, the room was VERY spacious and comfortable (room no.2), and it was also quiet in spite... Very attentive chap on reception/breakfast service. Hotel decor tasteful and classic with a modern bar/dining room. Our room and en-suite was ok for us as we're wee but note it was bijou! Would kindly suggest fix mirror and get new towels. Nice brekkie.

Lovely interesting building, but stiflingly hot during a sunny July day! The room (6) also faced the setting sun, which made it like a greenhouse in the afternoon/early evening. The hotel did provide a fan on request, but it was only a desk fan & didn't really cool down the large room. On the plus side, good breakfast, freshly made... More

We had a bargain staying at this hotel and were not disappointed. The manager was friendly and couldn't do enough to make our stay comfortable. The rooms had a boutique feel about them - every room was different and we were fortunate to have a choice of which room we wanted. The bathroom was small but big enough for a... More

Just arrived home from a 3 night stay in this cosy home from home. Our room was large and fresh, and clean, the sleigh beds were amazing! This family couldn't do enough for us, greeting us on arrival with coffee, phoning the zoo to arrange our much wanted visit to the pandas, and providing us with iced water after much... More

A lovely small hotel, family run, good location, 5 mins from Haymarket station and easy walking distance to the shops. Clean and friendly and very very helpful. Lovely lovely room, with roomy shower overlooking back garden. Staff could not do enough to help, Would not hesitate to stay again

Found this Hotel by chance and would say that it is great value for money. Our room was in the basement but it was clean and light. All you need. We were warmly welcomed when we first registered and when we left a gentleman by the name of M bid us farewell. He was the young man that served us... More

Stayed here for one night when going over for a weekend. The twin double was nice and tidy and the shower room good size. Our room was in the basement and was quiet and the beds comfy. The breakfast area was a bit dated and the furnitures had signs of wear and tear. Good range of breakfast choices. However my... More
