All great so far. We have bern put in a family suite even though it's just the 2 of us. Large, spacious room with a bathroom to die for. The chap who checked us in couldn't have been any more obliging. Awaiting breakfast with anticipation-it has a lot to live up to after reading the guest book.

No one available to meet us on arrival, never mind let us into the hotel. Envelopes with room keys left outside for us to help ourselves but our names were not there. We took another envelope and left a contact number as we suspected a mix up in names. (This was a guess after standing outside for an hour, as... More

Ok I'm a Glaswegian, however having worked in our capital city for 10 years I searched eagerly for accommodation but was nervous when about the only decent looking place was halfway down the slightly edgy Leith Walk. I was relieved and chuffed on our arrival. So the facts; It's a good 20 min walk to the start of Princes St.... More

Stayed here for Edinburgh Tattoo. Reasonably priced for an expensive Edinburgh time of year. Booked with late rooms.com £215 for 2 nights. About 20 mins walk to main shops/castle in one direction and around the same to Royal Yacht in opposite but bus stop outside if not fancying the walk. Very nice small pizzeria called Origano if you go to... More

First impressions were good nice lady to greet you room looked ok then under closer inspection sideboard in the room fell apart when I opened the drawer ,downlight was hanging from the ceiling,a big screw protruded from the side of the bath which was dangerous and the sealant around the bath was black though the shower was good, the bed was... A friend referred us to this place & we are glad he did. We were given a room upstairs, it was a medium size room with a large bathroom, £60 per night for 2 persons. The owner, a nice lady was there to greet us when we checked in & no question was asked other than our names, easy check... More

NICE PLACE ! We were absolutely terrified it would be a disaster after reading the review after booking it and then my not being able to contact the hotel so my friend said to look it up on TripAdvisor to ensure it was legit as my family were coming from Australia. After reading the reviews I was petrified but still... More

Disaster We thought it is a joke, that our room is in the basement when we arrived, but unfortunately it was no joke. We had to look on a dirty wall and directly in front of our window was the garden rubbish. We had so many nice bed and breakfast places in Scotland. But this was by far the worst... More

Located in a quiet neighbourhood not far from the town centre. We settled for this place as we wanted kitchen facilities. In their defence, I must say the breakfast was awesome with local delicacies thrown in, The hostess is quite sincere and works diligently to keep her guests happy. She also helped us with directions and bus numbers to the... More

4 of us stayed one night last saturday, we arrived to an envelope left for us (no problem for me). got to our room on the top floor (1 and 2) and was very pleased with it, had all the stuff we wanted/needed and more. We dumped our bags and straight out for something to eat. After our night out... More
