The hostel's in the city centre and close to everywhere I'd love a visit. It offered good breakfast and the receptionists were nice and helpful. But wifi didn't work well. I used my data most the time. Anyway, it's still a very delightful stay here.

The hostel has a great position, cause it is in the center of the city. the staff is very helpfull and kind. this hostel has all the simple comforts you need for a short holiday. a very good thing is the fact that it ofers free wifi connection.

Little hostel in the city center of Edinburgh. The location is its main advantage, just 10 minutes to the Royal Mile and 1 minute to Princess Street. Everything was clean, and it was really quiet, except in the bathrooms that you can hear the music from the pub down stairs. The breakfast was really really good, croissants, toasts, fruit, ...... It has a very good location, just 3 min away from the central station, <10min away from the center and a few minutes from the main street for night clubs. Has a clean bathroom, great breakfast and average beds

Great little hostel close to everything Edinburgh has to offer. Only room for about 30 guests which is nice if youre looking for a quiet hostel. Free Breakfast and pasta, rice, spices etc were a nice touch! There are lockers in the rooms but only very small to store your electronics, dont expect to store your luggage inside them. They... I stayed in this hostel 3 nights to visit Edinburgh. The hostel is at walking distance from most of the attractions, the train station as well as the bus stop coming from the airport. The staff has been very helpful and welcoming during the visit. The kitchen has all you need to prepare some food. I would recommend this hostel if... More

The location is nice and staff very good. But too many step for getting the hostle and narrow, so if you carry big luggage you have a hard work to bring yours up to there. And if you have bad luck like us you will meet a big group of people in the mix droom that horrible, noisy at 2.30... More

My usual accomodation was full up due to a big sports match (think it might have been rugby?). So I stumble upon this place. It is well worth staying at The Haggis Hostel in Edinburgh - if you like a comfortable + peaceful sleep, friendly, approachable and informative staff and a relaxing, tasty and nourishing breakfast selection (included 6 different... Staying in Princes Street and Gardens

Neighborhood Profile
Princes Street and Gardens
Glaswegians tease Edinburghers that their High Street is only half one, since buildings only line one side. But what they don’t say is how extraordinary the views are from Princes Street as a result. From here you look onto expansive and decorative public gardens beneath the mighty basalt cliffs on which Edinburgh’s Castle stands proud above the rest of the dramatic old town skyline. Yet many of those on Princes Street look the other way, as they’re concerned with chain store shopping or catching the tram or a train at main train station Waverley. But it’s not all utility here; the Scottish National Gallery rewards purposeless wandering, and December’s huge winter market in the gardens begins a season of revelry which ends with Hogmanay, Britain’s largest New Year’s street party.
