We decided to stay at this hotel because of it's closeness to Edinburgh Zoo, and because we felt that the Holiday Inn brand should mean good value for money and a comfortable stay. The zoo and the hotel actually shares a drive and could hardly be closer with just a two minute walk from the hotel to the zoo. So... More

Stayed for one night this week thanks to a 'last minute hotel' booking. £50 for 2 people, so can't sniff at the price. Room was a tad small, bed was hard and uncomfy, but overall decent finish, clean and came with extras you expect (TV, tea and coffee, hair dryer). Staff very friendly. Location excellent for panda lovers. 10 min... More

Stayed the Sunday night. Booked a double on B&B basis. Under £100 for the night which I thought was pretty good. The room was very clean and was cosy. Felt really fresh. Well furnished with a nice interior. The only minor issue was the en-suite. You could only get in one at a time. saying that, the en-suite was very... More

Stayed here for 2 days in early August. Its 10 minutes away from the centre, however there are many buses right outside the hotel which will drop you at Princess street. The hotel staff is helpful and the breakfast is good too. You can even take dinner buffet if you dnt feel like going out in the scottish cold weather.... More

The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Room very basic for price paid and no free wifi only free if you join they loyalty card. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Would stay again due to good location and excellent transport links to city but would think twice due to price as rooms not that special.

Unreasonably expensive, we chose it partly because of lack of choice and partly because it was recommended to us. As a result, I made my mind firmer that I will continue doing as I always did before this experience: I will follow ONLY the opinions that I find on TripAdvisor! The rooms look nice in the picture, but they haven't... More

I always stay at this hotel when visiting Edinburgh as it's such good value for money and I will continue to stay here. I stayed at the Holiday Inn Edinburgh for one night whilst visiting the city for business. My experience was a little disappointing. For the price you pay, the room I stayed in was very dated and smaller than average. There is no WIFI included and breakfast is an extortionate £15.00 if not booked in advance (£11.00 otherwise). The location is... More
