I don't wish to launch into pages and pages of disgusted commentary, so I shall keep this brief. We were due to travel to Edinburgh for the Heineken Cup Final, and our first task, once our team had reached the final, was to locate accommodation as close as possible to Edinburgh. All we could find was the Travelodge Dreghorn. The... more

Very disappointing stay at this Travelodge. On arriving the carpark was strewn with litter (some obviously had been lying for a while) this gave a very 'neglected' first impression. Rooms are very tired and in need of refurbishment. My ground floor room had a rather musty smell, the room was cold and the heater was not effective. Ensuite was well... more

We did an overnight here the night before flying out the next day. The room was standard Travelodge, we had to ask for extra sheets for the sofabed and extra pillows but it was the usual basic room. It is on a services site off the by pass and there is a Shell garage and a Little Chef. However we... more

We booked this hotel in a haste without checking much (a very dearly mistake) as we missed the promotion of Ramada Mount Royal Hotel which is just opp the Waverly Train Station in the City Centre. Overall, It's an okay, basic no-frills hotel. Clean beds but the carpet does not feel clean and we had to tip-toe to have minimal... more

As part of a cheap Travelodge Tour of Scotland, we stayed in this Hotel - booking it for £9 on the internet. The location is good, just off the Bypass. It is in the same complex as a Little Chef and a Shell Petrol Station. However, first impressions aren't great. Older Style Travelodge, with the decor on the outside to... more

This hotel was so cheap that I did not expect much but it was fine. There was a hum of noise from the motorway but it is easy to locate and you do not have to make your way through Edinburgh - normally we always get lost. Had to ask the guy on the desk for bedding for the kids... more

ok so it was only £29 a night (usually £59) but there was a really musky damp smell. the room had no curtain just a blind and the window was restricted to opening any further than about an inch. the bathroom had dirty tiles, stained bath and a really old horrible shower curtain. the shower had a really powerful flow... more

Stayed here for on night in June, 2008. A slightly below average Travelodge - tatty in places, staff average but nothing special. Rooms were typical Travelodge but a little shabbier. Windows sealed closed (even though I was on the ground floor!) - bathroon shabby and I *hate* shower curtains! Good location just off the bypass and plenty of parking. Nothing... more
