Lovely hotel in a good location (near city but right next to a park). Clean elegant rooms and an excellent cooked breakfast. Only quibble was the lack of staff on the front desk when checking in and out - I had to try to track someone down myself as no-one answered the bell despite repeated rings.

this was our first visit to Edinburgh and this hotel was perfect. The hotel is very clean, stylish and comfortable. Ideally situated near parkland and within walking distance (slow and leisurely 20 mins) into main town. the staff were all very friendly and most helpful. we would definately book this hotel again.

Stayed for one night on a business trip. Manager was really helpful and went out of his way to ensure our needs were met. Food was excellent, had the smoked fish risotto and breakfast of smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was just delicious. Rooms spotless, stylish and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

I visit this place often with work colleagues. Great bar menu. Recommend the Lasagne. They operate a discount scheme for frequent diners. Billed as a sports bar, but not anything like 'sportsters' or places like that. Classy refurb, altogether great place to have a business lunch or a lunch with friends/family.

Cracking little hotel. Great rate on late rooms. Rooms are excellent and bed exceptionally comfortable. Parking only available in the street but everywhere was within a pleasant stroll. Excellent reception guy who really left a fine lasting impression. Evening meal was a touch disappointing with undercooked pasta but service was good and the bar even better.

I used to drink in the bar of this hotel some 10 years ago. What a refurb the place has had. From my arrival the staff were polite and helpful, the room was great, and WIFI an added bonus. excellent..have stayed here on two ocassions and love it..very relaxing and homely with fantastic food and really helpful friendly staff and rooms are clean ,spacious and modern . booked to go again for value deal this weekend...
