I got this B and B out of Rick Steves book as well. It is outside the city proper but a very easy walk from the bus stop and on a main road (Dalkeith Rd). (Call them first. They give excellant directions!) Some people might not go for the home decour but it a how you would imagine a grand... More

This was our 1st time in Edinburg - We found this score in one of Rick Steves books. A lovely stroll to the castle. The service was great not to mention the breakfast prepared by Liz. Charming, friendly, clean, very informative what a great deal and I would definitely reccomend this to anyone going to Edingburg.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is exceptionally delicious (Liz makes wonderful fruit scones). We had to leave early one morning to cath a train and Liz made us a sack breakfast to take on the train. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Edinburgh.

I have just returned from my 4th stay at Millfield Guest House. If you have an opportunity, book a visit before Liz retires. It is like having a favorite relative in Scotland.

This B&B is charming, convenient, and quiet, but Liz Broomfield, the friendly owner, will probably retire in early 2005.
