We were in a suite for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment! The suite was huge and had a very large bathroom (heated towel racks). We had room service for breakfast every morning and it was delicious. The suite included a large sitting area with dining table -- really everything we could ask for. The staff was very nice. The... more

We spent 4 nights at the Edinburgh Residence on our recent vacation in Scotland. The hotel is nicely situated in a quiet well kept residential area in the West End, and is within a pleasant 10-15 walk of the Royal Mile. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with a sitting area, breakfast table, a nice flat panel TV, and a... more

The Edinburgh Residence is perfectly situated in a quiet georgian crescent a short walk from the royal mile. The large suites are well appointed but a little worn around the edges. Staff were helpful and the car parking service was a plus. Breakfast was average quality but included. For £155 good value for a city centre location. more

Stayed for one night through booking.com and saved quite a considerable amount on the going rate. We paid £95 and the website says rooms between £255-£350! We thought this hotel was unique in that you had a microwave, fully stocked fridge at reasonable prices, full set of crockery and utensils, tea and coffee facilities with a percolator! The room we... more

Impressed prior to checking in, we were upgraded to a grand suite for the price of a classic suite as they advertised availability of a classic suite on the internet and had none available. Room spacious, clean and very well decorated. Complimentary bottle of wine and chocolates on arrival, excellent breakfast in the morning. Free parking at the rear of... more

In a nutshell, poorly managed hotel and not worth the price. My run down of my hotel experience in no particular order. CLEANLINESS- In the walk in cupboard, there was a huge long hair visible on the floor. Under the pull out sofa, lots of dirt. It was clear that no one had taken the trouble to move the sofa... more

Stayed for one night as a birthday present from my other half in July. The room was perfectly clean and tidy, with a huge comfy bed. The bathroom really topped it off though, it was huge with a whirlpool bath! Fantastic for relaxing in! The only grumble I do have is that when we arrived they couldn't find our booking.... more

The entrance to this hotel – centrally located in a quiet neighborhood a few blocks from Prince Street – is unassuming, but inside there are oak-paneled walls and high ceilings, a grand staircase and a comfortable lounge. The hotel is filled with eccentric 19th century artwork, old books and vases and other interesting bits and pieces. It has a charming... more

Stayed for 4 nights in a Grand Suite, roomy and beautiful though not prefectly clean as expected. The location and the spaciousness of the place can hardly be beaten though. Bathrooms are huge and the views are impressive. The privacy of the place is also incredible. Breakfast (which is served in the rooms by defualt, something I quite like) is... more

As a couple traveling with a grown child, a room for 3 is much more economical than 2 rooms. This grand suite was so spacious, we had tons of room for ourselves and our belongings. The location is a bit far from the main sites, but we enjoyed the walk and the up side is the extremely quiet location. Our... more
