Arrived on a,Friday afternoon and was checked in efficiently by very helpful enthusiastic reception team. Was given ground floor room facing the front which is the Bruntsfield links although being on ground floor was a view of nothing The room was clean and of a good size, with an ante room which was where the hanging rails were and the bathroom... We went to Edinburgh to visit our daughter who works there. She recommended the hotel because she walks by on her way to work. We planned as 3 night stay but extended it because the hotel was so good. The Hotel is convenient, quiet, clean and the staff could not be better. Excellent breakfast. We could not have been more... I have always avoided BW hotels thinking that they are tired and dated and indeed this place used to be. We avoided a Winter Offer at £41 per room and opted for a deluxe room and it was excellent. Nicely decorated, spacious clean and well appointed bathroom (except shower which was weak). Our room had clearly been refurbished and for... More

We stayed here for two nights in September. We chose it because it's one of only a handful of Edinburgh hotels with free parking in site and its an easy walk to all the inner city sights. We weren't disappointed. The hotel is in a quiet part of town with a nice Park across the street. The neighborhood is full... More

We checked in around 5pm, Aga the front desk staff was vey friendly. She helped arranged for all my requests be it taxi for our late night ghostly tour (a must), international adapters, good morning calls for all 6 of my group. The room itself was new, this is important for me as I am not one to like small... More

Had a fabulous two night stay whilst visiting the Fringe Festival. Lovely spacious room, super comfortable beds and great breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant. On a map it looks like it's a fair distance outside Edinburgh city centre but it's only a 10-15 minute walk until you find yourself in the Old Town. If you have luggage you... More

We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the hotel. Its location is outside the main tourist areas, about a 20 minute walk through a nice park and a 6 Pound taxi trip with luggage to the train station. The restaurant was very nice and the breakfast in the morning, with made-to-order eggs, etc was delicious. Service at reception and dining was... More

We recently stayed here as we were at a party at a pub down the road. The hotel is easy reached from the City Centre, it took us about 15mins to walk it. The rooms were very nice, very well appointed, although the hot water was scorching hot and there were only 2 sachets of coffee which I find annoying... More

We have stayed in several rooms over the years in this hotel and we've yet to have a bad experience. If your having a special trip, I would definitely recommend the four poster room!!
