This 4 star hotel looked good when booked for a one night stay. A superior room was good with huge bathroom and separate drssing area. Furnishings were good with a comfortable bed. Problems arose during the night when the night porter entered the next room hourly to check on a radiator leak. this kept us awake. Breakfast was disappointing with... More

The Bruntsfield is in the nicest area, with lots of independent shops, wineries, eateries - all offering a very high end service and product in whatever they do. Morningside is the loveliest place, quiet genteel without being snobby in my view and The Bruntsfield is the epitome of old world charm and elegance, without losing the service and requirement for... Stayed here with a friend Saturday night after Christmas shopping in Edinburgh. We were really happy with the hotel as all staff were very welcoming and attentive, which was so nice after such a busy and rather tiring day. The classic twin room/ ensuite was very clean and a good size with comfortable beds. Peaceful area ensured a good night's... More

Another comfortable stay at our favourite Edinburgh hotel. Such good value for money and such good friendly service. Enjoyed the meal on Tuesday evening. They even served my melon for starters and fruit salad for dessert even though it wasn't on the dinner menu. The homemade shortbread at reception is always handy for a cup of tea in the room.

I stay here from time to time for work and everytime I am given very warm welcome from all the staff - from reception to bar staff to breakfast staff to cleaners. Last time I stayed I got one of the newer rooms but even the rooms that haven't been refurbished are more than acceptable. Rooms are on the large... More

Have to say, preparing yourself for a bog standard hotel stay when coming here would be a mistake! This hotel was fab for a best western. The staff were very polite and attentive and the rooms large and tastefully decorated. Some maybe not so with it in style but by no means shabby. We did not eat in the hotel... More
