The hotel is located near the Saint James shopping center, and close to Princess street (for shopping). The room I stayed in was not very big but very nice, modern, and with some very nice touches : a European power plug (!), a minibar with free softdrinks and sweets (refilled daily). Breakfast was ok - the continental option a little... More

I paid 135 GBP a night, which to me is quite a high sum, and I expect certain things at that price point. While the location and front desk staff are fine, there are things that leave a lot to be desired. The first is the unacceptably slow and tightly capped Internet. I struggled to open basic web pages. And... More

Stayed here one night before flying out on holiday. Hotel was very central in the city. Room was big and well-appointed with a cool, slightly,( but nicely) over-the-top designer feel to it. Set a good tone to the rest of our holiday! Breakfast good. A good hotel if you want a treat. Will come back again!

Great location exactly adjacent to tram line from airport 5£ every 15 min. Rooms are smallish with excellent bathroom (217) and amenities. Breakfast and staff all professional. Conor was serving everyday and made sure we were enjoying what was offered - not paying for extras if we didn't want to. Breakfast was great traditional hot Scottish breakfast with haggis. Location... More

We stayed here for a long weekend during the Fringe, and couldn't believe our luck - we booked a year ago, when rates were relatively low and I believe they increased considerably during the Festival month - along with everywhere else in the city! However, we will definitely be returning for another weekend. Beautifully decorated, furnished, and equipped, and a... More

This hotel is in a great location. It's central but slightly out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre. It's clean a beautifully decorated. Our room actually felt quite luxurious. The bed was really comfy and the shower was amazing!! Breakfast wasn't included but could be added on at a discounted price and was cooked to order with... More

Staying in Edinburgh during (August) festival and tattoo season is never going to be low cost. The Indigo offers superb service, attentive staff with a caring attitude and make the cost justified if you want a better quality establishment. The tram stop outside the front door, whilst difficult for those arriving be car is a real bonus for getting around... More

The hotel has great rooms which appear non uniform and therefore have more character. The services are excellent great touch in the mini bar by having fresh milk. Drinks in the small bar were reasonably priced. We will definitely return.

Stayed in a room at the rear of the hotel (301) which, whilst it had no view at all, also meant it was away from any potential noise on York Place. Usual Indigo style and, as always, an immaculately clean room and comfy bed. Wifi worked well. Breakfast was better than last time, though still waiting for the brown sauce... More

We stayed for 2 nights & were pleasantly surprised at the space of the room and en-suite. We have certainly experienced far less room in our various travels. The staff were very attentive. There is a bus stop and tram service at the front of the hotel and Edinburgh's main bus station is nearby in
