We were 3 folks chilling out in Edinburgh and needed a stay not too expensive to stay. This definitely suited our needs and lived up to our expectations and a bit above. Comfy place and a very enjoyable person that welcomed us! I'm not a man of big words, and that's probably the primary reason for not giving the fifth... More

I had never travelled to Edinburgh before and I was unsure of what to expect of the hotel or the city. I booked into the Thrums hotel quite last minute and I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! The minute I arrived I was greeted by their friendly and most helpful receptionist (who now has the nick name... More

Thrums was more than accommodating of our last minute booking offering us a clean, warm and quiet twin room just 15 minutes walk from Edinburgh's centre. We were given a warm welcome by Aaron at reception who was a brilliant host throughout our stay. With a genuine passion for Edinburgh he was always happy to offer us tips on what... More

If I ever go back to Edinburgh, I am definitely staying the same hotel. I've been blessed to find a place like that. Aron at the reception is extremely friendly, helpful and simply lovable person. He always had a list of recommendation or attraction what to see and where to go. I am really thankful for that. He is brilliant!... More

Bed was fabulously firm and comfortable. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast average. Some restaurants and small Tesco grocery two blocks away. Car park out back was helpful. Room pictures on their website must be outdated, our room was totally updated. Plenty of hot water. Only negative- no real lounge for relaxing - just a bare floored large room with... More

Booked a double room for myself and partner through the hotels website and found a good deal for weekday stay, quite last minute.. Aaron at reception was wonderful and gave great tips on what to do and see during our 3 day stay. Paid extra for breakfast - Best poached eggs cooked to perfection and a great choice of other... Visited Edinburgh with my sister for the first time, chose this B&B trough hotels.com. Location was great, down the main road so easy to get around by feet or bus, close yet far enough that we had peace and quiet. Building is old, but the whole town is so expected that much, updated interior. Big bed, small room but big... More

This hotel is located 25' by foot from the city and 15' to the main Street, Princess Street. The bus stop is very near the hotel so, it s very easy to move in any direction. Some of the room are very big and with a old fashion luxories forniture. The biggest rooms have balcony windows, like English style and... More

This was a business trip but with a little bit of leisure time added in and I must say stumbling upon this little gem of a guest house has been brilliant. It is located just out of the city centre but within a 5 minute taxi or bus trip of a 25 minute walk to the centre of the city.... More

I read some of the reviews but I must say that my experience has been good, the rooms are nice for a b&b, and some even very nice and big; we were in a group (from Italy)and the treatment was friendly;whenever we needed something they tried to help; I liked the breakfast, we could also have porridge if we wanted...
