Nice welcome (but you are left alone when you want to be discreet). A very attractive and comforatble place to stay in an excellent location. Few hotels are this central and VERY few are this close to the Broughton St / Leith Walk bars where lots of guests want to visit. The late breakfast is a brilliant idea - we... more

Very pleasant welcome, shown to bedroom and where everything was regarding layout of hotel. Continetal breakfast was a novelty in that you prepared your own, but there is always a first! Lack of lounge area therefore you did not meet with the other guests! But a very pleasant and enjoyable stay in Edinburgh. more

On arrival at hotel no-one to meet & greet. Sent to bar had to ask twice for menus. Food served up over an hour after arrival. Food burnt on top raw underneath. Stone cold vegetables. Surrounding garden in very poor state. No lights in garden so stumbling about over driveway to get to main gate. Overall service very poo. Rooms... more
