My other half booked us here for a couple of nights to see the Edinburgh Christmas markets. Very glad we elected to come out of the city centre as the value is brilliant. Great stay, lovely bed, fantastic breakfast, and friendly staff. David couldnt have been more helpful, and we will utilise this as the venue to stay in when... More

Gosh, it is difficult to describe this place, without upsetting someone!! LOL!! Well, put it simply, this place is a lovely little place, but it is like Marmite: You either love it, or, ...., maybe not so keen on it.... to say the least! LOL! This place may not be everyone's cup of tea, no matter what kind of establishment... More

We don’t actually have any record of who you are or when you stayed. We can’t work out whether you are a child or a senior. The writing seems to be indicative of a child which makes it difficult to understand. Clearly your English is not too good but we will try to decipher. From what we do understand it... More

Just spent 3 nights at this wonderful small hotel. It is well placed for travel around the area using the very good and frequent bus service. The owner David and his staff are very welcoming, friendly and offer really good advice on getting around. The hotel is cosy and the breakfast is better than a lot of the more expensive... More

Quirky old house with great staff. We will be back to enjoy the tasty breakfast and only a short no 11 bus ride into town.....a quick 15 walk and you get to leith shore with a couple of decent bars etc. Good value for such a friendly place to enjoy a short stay in Edinburgh.

We had arrangements that fell through and called the A-Haven. David, the innkeeper, indicated that he could accommodate us and that we could come right over. We got one of the carriage house rooms which was just perfect. David said that some people book their holidays around getting this room but others dislike it. If you're comfortable on a cruise... Stayed here two weekends ago for one night to catch an early morning flight. On arrival we were welcomed by the lovely David who was so helpful with information of how to get into city centre. We had small double room which was fine for the one night. One of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Had a... More

We were given a warm welcome and given detailed directions to Royal yacht Britannia (15 min walk), where to catch the bus for the castle and Royal mile. Our car was securely parked in the car park at the rear of the B & B. The decor is Victorian with a gracious staircase and opening windows. Our room was quite... More

Stayed here for a weekend break, could not fault it in any way. The proprietor David and his staff were extremely friendly, great advice on where to go and what to see. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was amazing, go for the Highland option, it's one of the best I've ever had! The room was cosy with an extremely... More

We were greeted by David on arrival who was very friendly and showed us around the hotel, explaining where we can find everything when needed.Further to that he explained the different ways to get to places around Edinburgh and what buses to take if we needed to take public transport, even offering to exchange notes for coins to ensure we...
