My wife and I booked this hotel in order to spend a couple of days at The Fringe. This is the first negative review that I’ve ever posted on TA but on this occasion I feel so strongly about this hotel that I feel forced to warn others. I tried to find out who manages the hotel in order make... More

Nicly located - we could walk everywhere as no space to park our car although they arranged for us to park it as sister hotel do saved 20 pounds per day. Very elegant building and neighborhood so pity it has somewhat neglected feel and appearance. Helpful and friendly staff although understaffed at breakfast.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for two nights 4/5th August.. Whilst I have to say the young lady on reception was lovely and friendly the rest for the visit was very downhill.. Our room was end basement, so we had a door which we couldn't open into a very dingy courtyard and the window was coved in... More

Booked this hotel as it was close to Haymarket train station. Beautiful old building, unfortunately does not have a lift. The staff helped us up with our bags. Nice continental breakfast, clean and comfortable.

Got this booking last minute to save an early morning trip to Edinburgh for a conference - £69 bed and breakfast for all three sharing - what a bargain including breakfast! Clean well appointed room which met our needs. Staff phoned their sister hotel and arranged parking for us near our conference location in Queen Street - excellent service!

The hotel is very near Haymarket station and around 25 minutes walk from Waverly station. There are restaurants around the area too so that is nice. There is a convenience store (Boots) around the corner too. Staffs are friendly and helpful. We stayed at room number 5 and paid £99.00 per night - triple sharing. The room is big for... More

Booked this hotel via a deal on Late Rooms, turned out not to be such a great deal. We were at this very tired, dated hotel for 4 nights. Room was large but the smell of dampness was overpowering. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls, there were loose cables hanging down from the tv on the wall and there... More

We stayed here last October during Munster's ill-fated trip to play Edinburgh and for a rugby weekend it ticked all the boxes. Great location at the right side of town for Murrayfield, adequate rooms (nothing flashy), good food, good value (£89 a night we paid), late night bar and the staff were very helpful in assisting us getting to Edinburgh... The hotel is located in a very nice area, close to the city. The architecture of the house and houses around is beautiful...traditional and vey well maintain. Just imagine that this hotel was a house for a family! Stay there enjoying the high ceilings, the decorated walls, the traditional furniture...and enjoy the big stairs to go upstairs to have a...
