In March 18th 2013, I stayed one night in this hotel in a basement room. People can see me from open curtains from outside. The curtains can't be closed fully. The room had no heat. I stayed at this hotel last October 2012. The room was extremely poor and when complained came across a most unhelpful young man who gave a "couildnt care less" attitude. I made aformal complaint in writing and to date have not had the decency of a reply.... There again, did the staff put the complaint in?????

Tidy hotel and all the staff were very helpful and polite. Situated close to the West end of Princes Street, five minutes walk and ten minutes walk to Murrayfield. There is no lift in the hotel but that was not a problem for our group. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Definitely go back there.

Booked this place last minute and considering the prices of other places I didn't think it was bad. The hotel feels tired and like it has seen better days. Rooms aren't bad. My biggest compliant is the breakfast. It was awful... From the coffee to the croissants, waffles and even cereals on offer.
