We stayed here for a 2 night "mini moon". We stayed in a mini suite which was fabulous. We decided to eat in the hotels brasserie on the first night, pleased we did the food and service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Bought our 2 night stay through Groupon, very good value. The staff are so accommodating, nothing is any problem. Evening meal and breakfast delicious, as was the afternoon tea. We had room No. 2 in basement, quite large, the trouble was the bath was very deep and had no handles to help you out, so we had showers, noisy when... More

Lovely boutique hotel very close to Edinburgh centre. Great bistro type restaurant with very friendly staff. Breakfast is as good as any 5 star hotel chain and is served to order. The room we occupied, the Georgian Suite, was as close to perfect as a hotel room could be with one exception - the W.C. is incredibly small and unsuitable... More

Room looked good but not well thought out. Toilet tiny I'm lucky in thin but larger guests may struggle.Bed made up of two mattresses which created large ridge.Shower fabulous and bath rather novel . Service excellent however the food like the hotel could be great but sadly lacking however not in salt! Overall a reasonable stay however with a few... More

Very friendly male receptionist greeted us and showed us too our room. Fantastic 4 poster bed and very comfy mattress. View over the pleasant garden . Location wise spot on for central access just round the corner and your in the middle of everything. Shame about the building works next door but can't be helped and I'm sure this will... More

We had a room here over valentines weekend. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 10 min walk into the centre of Edinburgh and in a nice location. Unfortunately the room we stayed in was directly below the bistro ,as this is wooden floored noise travelled. The room was very nice large and well decorated... More

My mother ( who is 70 years young) and I have just been for our first visit to Edinburgh. What a wonderful city made even better with our choice of hotel. We were made to feel so welcome. All the staff were very tentative. Breakfast was lovely and evening meal amazing. The waiters were efficient, polite and extremely good at... More

A very much anticipated trip away for a special birthday left feeling very disappointed. Not keen to complain but in retrospect alarm bells should have been ringing from booking. Booked with booking.com and sent 2 special request messages and had no response till 3 days before trip, requests still not actioned on arrival (bottle of fizz for husbands birthday). Website... Myself, my partner and our 4 year old daughter spent a lovely night here last week, we were lucky enough to book one of the master suites which was spacious even with the sofa bed opened up for my daughter. There was plenty of tea, coffee, hot chocolate in the room to keep us all happy (one small quip was... More
