The close up to the hostel has a pub at the bottom, and a mans social club on the second floor. to get to the hostel you have to go past these and we found some very drunk men lingering about the close smoking, which was not too pleasant. I feel an actual sense of revulsion as I write this review. I am currently writing a letter to the Scottish Tourism Board and the Enviromental Health at the council. Where on earth to start? Unfriendly staff and unkept property. No locks on dorm rooms. Be ready to climb lots of stairs when you arrive. more

it sure was a pleasent surprise... as i has a bit hesitant to entrethe building..but once up in the waiting area.. i was sure it was going to be a great nextfew day. the staff were really very friendly..and made some really wonderful people..! i had planned to stay on for a day ..but landed up staying for 4 days..wouldnt... more
