This is my referred place to stay when I visit Edinburgh. It’s a standard Premier Inn with all the strengths of the brand, I have no problems with it. OK, it’s not “city centre”, but “near city centre” would be fair. It’s not far out, Haymarket appears to be a hub for Edinburgh’s excellent public transport system, which together with... more

Heymarket is not an ideal place for visiting Edinburgh, choose the one that near the Waverley station. Room is quite nice but the service is not first class (you get what you pay for). I think I will not go back to this hotel. more

We stayed here during the 'Magic Weekend' in May, for 3 nights. Lovely clean hotel, with spacious bedroom. TV, hairdryer, coffee/tea making facilities in room. Enjoyed the breakfasts in a morning, and the kids ate free which was nice. Hotel in good location, we walked to Edinburgh castle from the hotel, which took about 20 minutes. Also walked to Murrayfield... more

Service throughout my stay was first rate. Friendly, smiling staff who certainly went extra mile for guests. Full breakfast an absolute must for £7.50. more

We stayed at this hotel for the Rugby League Magic weekend at Murrayfield. We stayed 3 nights 1st May-3rd May. The hotel is in a great location being only a 5 minute walk from Edinburgh Haymarket train station, 20 minute walk into Edinburgh City Centre and a 20 minute walk to Murrayfield. (although there are plenty of taxi's around if... more

This hotel is very good value for money. Great location - less than 10 minutes to Princes Street & very handy for haymarket station. Friendly staff, lovely big clean room & bathroom. Even the bar/restaurant was good. We had the continental breakfast £5.25 which was well worth the money as it included, porridge ( which I must say was the... more

Having stayed at many hotels in Edinburgh usually 4 star, we chose to stay at Premier Inn Haymarket because of it's location to Haymarket Station. We stayed just before New Year and the hotel was very busy but this didn't detract from the excellent service we received from all staff - even the managers were helping (something you rarely see... more

We stayed here for 2 nights in January, we booked it as a cheap city break and got a good deal; £40 per night including breakfast, so we were not expecting the Ritz. The hotel is in a good location, a 10 minute walk into town and the reception staff during the day were very good. The rooms were standard,... more

Stayed at the Premier Inn for 3 nights over the New Year. Firstly, the staff, in particular, Maggie on reception are absolutely ecellent at their job, and Claire in the Restaurant, (an Irish girl) is also excellent, and very friendly. We had a room on the 2nd floor and it was near to the laundry shute which is my only... more

Out of all the hotels i've stayed in in the UK, this one has by far the most problems, next time im in Edinburgh i'll go for the more central Travel lodge. It wasnt any one big problem, but lots of little problems that added up such as: The heating automatically switching itself right down to 10c or off at 8am... more
