First time visit to Edinburgh hotel good close to all attractions. Arrived early but was still able to checkin . stayed in room 5 great sized family room shower great beds comfy clean. Could possibly do with a moveable bed side light as lighting not great to read by. Would have been nice to have glass tumblers in bathroom instead... More

We booked here last minute, and got room 16, which is four floors up, but it was a massive family room. Quite plain and old fashioned, but a beautiful modern bathroom. The shower was a bit temperamental, but presume it was because we were up so high. The room was very cosy and bed was very comfy. Good selection of... More

This hotel provides good value accommodation for the budget traveller in Edinburgh. My "single" room was in the basement but was very spacious, with a double and single bed. The room was clean with ample supplies of tea and coffee, a tv and hairdryer. The ensuite was fine with a powerful and easily adjustable shower. Breakfast was plentiful and the... More

Staff were very warm and friendly. Was put in a room at the bottom of the stairs (6) that had a unique layout although i did quite like it. Only small thing i think they could improve on in regards to furnishing is replacing the small plastic cups with glass ones in the bathrooms. Breakfast was average, couldn't complain for... More

My trip to Edinburgh was a last minute decision and as I couldn't book a room in the same hotel where my friend stayed I booked into Abbey hotel. The reason for booking this hotel was that it was only a few doors down from where my friend stayed and was affordable and in a great location. I booked a... More
