We stayed at Ardleigh Guest House for 3 nights. The place is generally nice and clean and we enjoyed our stay and Edinburgh city. We had a lovely view of the Castle from our top floor room. Good points : The B&B is nicely located, easy transport to city centre, and easily available free road-side parking just opposite. There is... More

Stayed here for 2 nights. Parking was just right in front of the hotel. (Tour) bus stop was also right outside the hotel so very convenient for travel. Accommodating host! Lovely breakfast. Room was nice too. Tea & Coffee replenished every day. Highly recommended!

It is one of Scotland's "Best B&Bs" and perfectly comfortable and clean. Parking available across a very busy street in a public lot. About a ten-minute bus ride (#27) to downtown Edinburgh. Breakfasts are great. Wendy very helpful. .Good wi-fi, too. Overall, a great place to stay.

We stayed at Ardleigh for ten nights with my husband and we both think it was a great choice. Our room was very comfortable and clean and had wonderful views across a cricket field to the castle. It's a very pretty and cozy place and the host was extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast was quite basic but very tasty with... More

We stayed at Ardleigh for 2 nights preparing to leave on a cruise from nearby Leith. It was convenient to the cruise terminal and also to the bus into the city, Our room was clean and comfortable although cramped. The bathroom was especially small. The room was on the top floor (2 long flights of stairs) and their was no... More

My mum and I stayed at this guest house for 3 nights in December 2012. Upon arrival the owner greeted us immediately and showed us to our room. We had booked the family room which was very spacious, comfortable and clean. Once we were settled and ready to go out the owner again greeted us at the bottom of the... More

We had a lovely bedroom for a couple. It was in fact a family room. The host was very friendly as well and helpful. The bus to the city was right outside the guest house which was fine. BUT ALAS the BREAKFAST. It was very basic, orange juice, one dried up piece of bacon, one egg cold, one sauaage, 2 mushrooms,... More

I assume all the guestvhouses in edinburgh are quite similar and offer the same quality and level of services. From here it is easy to go downtown by bus in just ten minutes and the bus stop is really near. This is a typical old house made into small bedrooms with all tipical problems of old houses. But the kindness... More

Lovely place where we felt like being at home for four nights. The staff was always charming and helpful, and breakfast was perfect. We were accommodated at the first floor and found it extremely quiet. I read some opinions saying it was a bit noisy, but our experience was most the opposite. On the negative side, it's a 30 minute... More

With the bus stop virtually on the door stop, we found this cosy little guest house to be more than adequate for our stay in Edinburgh. We found the Manager warm & more than helpful during our stay. On the day of our depature I wasn't feeling the best & the Manager arranged for some juice & toast to be... More
