Katrina, our host, is very friendly and warm throughout our whole stay. The first day when we arrived, she even offered us the jackets as she was afraid we did not wear sufficient clothes as it is windy and with intermittent shower. The room which we stayed in, although there may not be sufficient luggage space for 4 people, is... More

We arrived at Rosevale to find lovely, well equipped, spacious, ensuite rooms with excellent facilities in a very quiet neighbourhood. Rosevale is situated about 45 minutes walk or a 10-15 minute taxi ride to the city centre. Catriona was very helpful and informative about transport in the local area and helped us to organise a Taxi company for the following... More

I found this hotel through VisitScotland.com (recommended for any Scotland plans). It is a bit away from the city center (20 min walk) but in a very calm and nice neighborhood. There is also a bus to Princes street. You can also see Arthur's Seat from the room window. The landlady is very helpful. We had a lot of chats... More

A good choice convenient to Pollock Halls and to town. Clean, comfy, helpful advice on getting about and great scrambled eggs. This was a good choice for a family taking their child to uni or visiting them there.

This B+B is situated in a residential neighbourhood of Edinburgh, the walking distance to the city center is about 25 minutes. You can also take a bus, but we always walked, it was a comfortable walk. The host is very nice, ready to give all kind of advice. The breakfast is also good, as usual you can choose between cooked... More

We stayed for 3 nights over a weekend. Lovely B&B - clean room with very comfortable beds and a nice quiet location, we had a great view of Arthur's Seat too. Breakfast was generous and of a very good quality. The Landlady was very helpful giving advise on where to eat and suggestions on bus routes and visitor attractions. Ideal... More

Friendly host ready to help and gave good advises. She have a lot to say, listen carefully! Guesthouse is in residential area, 30 minutes walking distance to the centre. The house is simple but calm and cleam. Good breakfast to start well each morning.

A family run guest house - very clean and comfortable, situated on a quiet road, just 2 minutes walk to the main road where there are frequent buses to the city centre. Our room was at the back of the property with a lovely view of Arthur's Seat. Catriona, our landlady, was very welcoming, even though we arrived earlier than... More

Nice guesthouse, in a calm neighbourhood but with easy access to downtown Edinburgh. The owner was a bit disorganised and chaos was everywhere, but hey, so is our own house too sometimes :) It just makes you feel right at home. The rooms were spacious, only we had asked for a room with a double bed and a single bed,... More

This was a lovely B&B in a great location in Edinburgh. The hostess was a very friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The breakfast was great with lots of choices. If you are planning a trip to Edinburgh this is a great place to stay and very good value.
