This pub had a refurb over a year ago and you can tell. Well presented with both bar and seating areas. Nice atmosphere on evening. We had steak burger and haggis and lemon soul. Very good. Glad they kept curry sauce in separate dish for the fish, would have ruined it. This pub is worth a visit if you are... More

Enjoyed lunch here today with friends and family. On arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome. Advised on the best place to sit with a buggy. The menu was varied with lots of choice to keep everyone happy. I felt it was taking a while for the food to arrive but when it did it was obviously freshly cooked... More

Been here for lunch several times now since new owner took over and gave the place an extensive make over. Good choice of food on the menu and a good selection of ales and whisky. Family friendly and the staff take time to ensure you are getting good service.

I have eaten at the Riccarton several times in the last few months. The food and the service have been really good at every visit . I have tried a number of dishes from the menu and they have all been well cooked, really tasty, hot and a decent portion. The duck dish on the festive menu was particularly good,... More

Super cute little pub. We stopped in as the restaurants on Campus had all closed for the evening. Quaint little pub with good food. Service was super fast but we were one of the only tables in there as well so this might be the reason. Great place for a quick dinner!

I have visited the riccarton inn several times but don't always leave a review. I have always had a pleasant experience and an excellent meal. The most recent visit was on the 25th august for a lunchtime meal and was no exception. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door and led to our table. We chose... More

We've just got back from another excellent meal at the Riccarton. The food is very good, not a huge choice on the menu but enough to suit most people. Our order arrived within a short space of time, and we were delighted by the quality and quantity. The staff are friendly and efficient and we were delighted to be able... More

Great pub, lovely revamp apart from the toilets which desperately need upgrading. Well kept beer and range good range of spirits. Food however is really poor and too expensive for the quality. How many food reviews do they need before they change the chef. Dry steak pie, cold greasy fish, high fat/salt kids meals. Not good. Staff seriously need to... More
