Stayed from 6 - 2 Feb 2009 for the opening 6 Nations Match. Hotel is of high standard with excellent facilities. Breakfast is amazing !! The rooms are extremely spacious and very clean. I feel that the hotel is more suited for business guests who require a quick stop over as it is a fair distance from Princes Street etc.... more

Snow snow everywhere and we stayed here for the night. The reservation, check in was good, room was clean, large and had a great bed. The restaurant- was greated by a loud, over familiar girl who insisted on asking personal questions at the top of her voice and then pushed us to order a merlot as she would get points! Ordered... more

Stayed here with my family (children 15 and 12) for a long weekend break in a family room, two king sized bed and a foldaway. Very close to the airport (short inexpensive journey) on one of the main roads into Edinburgh. No traffic noise. Staff were very good and the breakfast was as expected, good with a wide choice. The... more

The Marriott is okay in terms of bedding and shower, but you can't find some facilities like sauna (which makes me have a better sleep.) It was slight damp but not severe. The value is quite nice as it is much cheaper than hotels in the city center. If you are going to book this hotel beware of the location.... more

Stayed at the Marriot in Edinburgh (room 330) for a couple of nights on business. You just can't fault the Marriot for comfort - the bed was wonderful with loads of comfy pillows and clean crisp white linen. Bathroom was slightly more compact than I have experienced in other Marriot hotels. Although by a main road it was faily quiet... more

My wife and I stayed at the Edinburgh Marriott for a two night weekend break - a package involving breakfast and dinner on the first (Fri) night. It's a very comfortable hotel. The room was first rate with better than average space (a sofa and desk/chair) and a very comfortable King bed. Immaculately clean and no signs of tiredness in... more

This hotel is located outside the city. The reception is bright and the room is modern and clean. We had an enormous double bed with crisp linen, though the room was not very large. The food was adequate but we did not dine in the restaurant as there was a good selection in the bar menu. Taxis are expensive but... more

Stayed here on park and fly deal. Room excellent - comfortable bed , seating area, clean. Parked at hotel for duration of holiday in Spain. This hotel is excellent for that. Car can be left for up to 15 nights. Transfers are by taxi so no waiting around for shuttle buses. Highly recommended. more

Having stayed in the Airport Hilton many times I tried this near neighbour, courtesy of a better deal from work and recently being impressed by another Marriott.. I was not disappointed. The room was large and well furnished, the bed big and comfortable, both superior to the airport Hilton. The bathroom bright but a little smaller. The restaurant was excellent,... more

Stayed a week at this hotel. It is about 7 miles outside the city proper. However, we got a weekly bus pass and were able to catch the bus right outside the hotel. Staff are very service-minded and will do anything they can to make your stay a good one. Our room was nice and very clean. No coffee pots... more
