I am a Marriott-phile having spent hundreds of nights in them over a couple of years with work. I've stayed in this hotel several times before, but this was the first time for pleasure. Our double exec room was elegantly dressed and a good size. The bathroom was clean and the shower good. The hotel has a nice spa (pool,... more

My husband and I were on this tour when we were in Edinburgh. We were staying at the Edinburgh Marriot and the company picked us up from the hotel which was really handy. Although it was a relatively long journey, we both felt that this was the best way to see Scotland when we didn't have a lot of time.... more

Very convenient for pre-flight stay. Room comfortable as one expects from a Marriott but rather hot as climate control did not seem to work properly. Hotel has odd layout (like a spider) and it was easy to get lost. Overall what you expect from this class of hotel. more

I've travelled to Edinburgh a few times for work with an overnight stay here. I thought the hotel was actually pretty good and am happy to stay here when I need to overnight. The rooms are clean, the staff are friendly and efficient and the restaurant does pretty good meals. The rooms are quiet and the beds comfortable - I've... more

I visited Edinburgh, as part of a group of 3 females, for a short weekend break. We stayed at the 4* Marriott Hotel which is located a convenient 5 minute taxi ride from the airport (approximate fair £8.50) and a 15 minute taxi ride from the heart of the city (approximate fair £11 – or the bus stop, located just... more

I started my Insight Vacation tour from this hotel. the room was nice after a long overnight flight and if you like pillows they give you PILLOWS. if you want to do sightseeing you need to grab a cab or the Bus stop is at top of Driveway. if... more

Very comfortable hotel both in terms of the bedrooms and the public areas. The bedroom and bathroom were spotless and had all facilities we needed. The food in both the restaurant and cafe was good with a fair selection. Staff were very helpful from the reservation stage right through our stay. Although the hotel was very busy it was not... more

For someone wanting a hotel fairly near Edinburgh's airport, this is not a terrible choice but it was very expensive (£195 per night excluding breakfast) and not worth it. The room smelt grubby until the not so clean windows were opened. The bathroom was ok but there was ingrained dirt in crevices around the lavatory seat, which one might not... more
