Nice hotel, a bit of a walk into center of town, but Edinburgh is small enough to walk to most places. Taxis are not very expensive, took one from train station for about £4 and well worth it. Had a big family room, very clean. Staff was kind, but unable to suggest places to eat near by. more

The hotel is handy for the city centre, but is on a busy road near a major hospital. Be prepared for all night noise from drunks and ambulances. The rooms are OK, but the dining area is dark and dismal. Breakfasts are cooked to order, and adequate. more
