This was our 3rd visit to Number 27 Morningside - we just love staying here. Ron and Julie are fantastic and always make you feel welcome in their home. This is a great base to have in Edinburgh, the local shops and cafes in Morningside are great to walk around and then its only a 15 min walk to the... More

I stayed at Number 27 Morningside for one night in October with my sister as we were travelling to Edinburgh for an event at The Dominion Cinema. Booking was easy, I contacted the owners via their website and communicated by email. Emails were always answered quickly and my booking was confirmed without the requirement to pay a deposit. The B&B... More

This was our 2nd visit. Ron & Julie are a lovely couple and very helpful and informative about the area. We stayed for a week and had a fantastic time in Edinburgh. The train journey across the Forth Bridge is worth a try. The Botanic gardens are just amazing definitely worth a visit, the glass houses are a must. If... More

My mum and I along with some of her friends stayed here again after two years. Everything was still excellent. The beds were warm and comfy. The location is great! Just across a bus stop that takes you straight into the main shopping street. Breakfast cooked by Ron was amazing and we had nice chats with him as well. You... More

Friendly welcome, well appointed room and bathroom, Ron was very helpful with restaurant recommendations. The lovely independent Dominioncinema also makes a great evening venue in easy walking distance. A very relaxed and friendly feel to breakfast. it felt more like staying with friends. We would definitely choose again on our next trip to Edinburgh

First rate B & B; room was spacious, comfortable and spotless. The breakfast room overlooked the school which was entertaining. Ron provided a fabulous breakfast and gave us a key to let ourselves back in when back late. Bus stop was across the road and takes 20 mins to get to the centre. WIFI in room. Very welcoming hosts, would... More

The fact this only has one below-4 star review should tell you how good it is. I've read that review and it stated that they thought everyone who said nice things about it was being paid to do so. I can confirm I was not paid for this review, nor do I think anyone else was... Why? Because the place... More

Had a great stay in Edinburgh, with Ron and Julie Uttridge. Their B & B is well maintained and situated in the Morningside neighborhood. Easy access by bus on the numbers 11, 5 and 16 from Princess Street going up Bruntsfield place past the Meadows. Ron prepares a great breakfast and they are very friendly and helpful proprietors, Morningside and... More

We stayed at Number 27 Morningside for 4 nights at the end of July/beginning of August. Our room was very clean and nicely decorated. The beds were really comfy and the ensuite had a great shower. The selection of tea/coffee and biscuits was a really nice touch. Our room was overlooking the main road but I didn't find the traffic... More
