Lovely reception upon arrival and staff was always more than accommodating. Room was nicely decorated and the touch of sherry and shortbreads was most welcome after a long day of touring. Worth staying for Matthew's Restaurant and he is a excellent chef. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would stay again but would not have the attic bedroom as very small and lots of traffic noise. We did arrive late and had not booked so we where just pleased they had space for us. Will be going back again next year. more

Received a warm welcome on arrival, and was given a good introduction to the hotel, and shown to room. Room was clean and in good order. The hotel is a bit out of the centre of Edinburgh, but there's a good bus service and taxis to/from the centre aren't expensive. Breakfast was good, with very attentive staff. more
