Stayed here for two nights over a weekend in Edinburgh. Lovely building, beautifully furnished. Priced fairly highly for what I expected to pay but all hotels & B&B's with similar good reviews seemed to be in the same price region. Onsite car park was a must for us. On arrival we were helped with our luggage to our room which... More

Over a period of nine months or so I have visited Kildonan Lodge and stayed in four different rooms. I have to say that the rooms are really, really nice. They are roomy, comfy, good beds, with everything you need ie TV, clock/radio, hair dryer, iron etc, tea and coffee facilities, bottle of water, and, of course, the very welcoming... More

We booked this little boutique hotel last minute and just after the Fringe finished. Staff were fantastic, great free parking around the rear of the hotel. Easy access by bus or 30 min walk into Princess Street. Staff will provide you with a small but card and keep you right which busses to get. Our room was on the top... More

The hotel was lovely nice touch with Sherry and shortbread in your room. The room was a nice size and clean, a trust bar in the main lounge was just nice. The restaurant is separate to the hotel and it was not great could have been the late hour but breakfast was very nice

We were given a warm welcome and given detailed information of the bus service, which is excellent and with bus stops very near to the hotel, Edinburgh city centre is about 2 miles away. We were then told how to reach our room (No 15) on the top floor and for 70 year olds with cases was a struggle with... More

I agree with other reviewers that the decor is a little tired, and having an electric shower wasn't what I expected but this is a really lovely hotel. It's very comfortable, very clean and the staff are fabulous. The breakfast was very good indeed with something for everyone (although I would have loved kippers, which were on the 'local food'... We were part of a group of 3 couple who stayed here for the Edinburgh Festival. A nice old house that is a little tired but has beautiful original features. The staff are all great and we enjoyed the breakfasts. The bus stop is outside on the other side of the road and we never waited more than 5 minutes... More

Booked this hotel having read previous reviews about being on bus route to city centre and this proved to be a big plus in our stay. Arrived early morning and parked up the car to let us have a great day in the city. Room wasnt ready but that wasnt a problem since we were there very early. Staff very... More

We have stayed here several times and find it reasonably priced and comfortable. It is on a good bus route into the centre of Edinburgh and has plenty of parking. The staff are friendly and helpful and breakfasts are good. We like the jacuzzi baths, particularly after walking around Edinburgh. We will no doubt stay again.
