We stayed hat the hotel last night for just one night. Firstly the good points, it was easy to find and i didn't think it was that far out from the city centre. I would highly recommend Herald House for anyone who would rather spend their money on entertainment when they get to their destination rather than on the accommodation, but at the same time, doesn't want to compromise on comfort, cleanliness and convenience. Herald House is a 2 star bed and breakfast about a mile and a half from the city centre and castle that works just as a place to crash as a budget traveler. The staff at the hotel we're very helpful and pleasant. The Hotel was clean and although the room wasn't massive it was ok, as we were there to see Edinburgh not the four walls of our hotel room! Would recommend as a base to see Edinburgh, as it's just a ten minute walk to Princes Street! more
