We stayed in a triple room for 3 nights in May. The hotel was clean and comfortable but don't be expecting a lot of extra facilities. However, when you're in Edinburgh there's plenty to see and do so we were only looking for a bed to sleep. Breakfast was good with plenty of food, and regularly topped up. It only... more

The room was big and clean but hotel has no free internet access and the service was not very good. It is located far from the city center. more

Stayed overnight. Wished we hadn't. Rooms dark, cold, desperate need of modernisation and refurbishment. The showerhead was filthy which my husband cleaned, there was mould around the bath. As for breakfast. Cheap quality ingredients kept barely edible by a warm rather than hot plate! If you liked school dinners you'll love this. Rubbery toast, rock hard eggs and coffee and... more

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for 2 nights on a weekend of April. As after 1st of April the high-season started, it was quite difficult to find decent prices for hotels in Edinburgh. In general we noticed that Edinburgh is pretty expensive respect to other cities in Europe, not that surprising though as it is a very touristic city.... more

We stayed here for the Rugby at Murrayfield and must say all we wanted was a bed and breakfast really. Hotel was clean, room adequate and staff very friendly. We have lots of friends in Edinburgh so keeping the cost of our accommodation down was a priority and this little hotel lived up to all expectations. We'll be back for... more

Cosy little hotel close to Haymarket station. If coming in from the bus from Edinburgh airport, it's a lot easier to get off at Haymarket, only a 5-10 minute walk from there. Staff is glad to be of help (students glad that they have a job?) A very relaxed sphere and in the mornings a fantastic breakfast the poached/scrambled eggs,... more

This was a lovely cosy Hotel. The breakfasts were amaziningly good excellent value with fresh home cooked food. The staff were very helpful. Nothing was too much bother. If you are visiting buy a bus travel ticket for just anywhere around the city £3 per day. There is a very frequent and excellent service to the city centre very close... more

At the low-season price we paid (£45 for a double room) it was good value. Our room looked newly painted and the carpets new. Not only is it within easy walking distance of the centre of Edinburgh, it is closer still to several supermarkets and an acceptable Italian retaurant (Bar Roma). If you can spare a few minutes extra, the... more
