We stayed last year and returned again this year for my partner's birthday. I made a couple of requests and both were adhered to, as well as a free drink for his birthday which was a lovely touch. The hotel is a short walk from the centre, it is nicely decorated and very cosy inside. It is very close to... More

Fantastic little boutique hotel, great location, comfy beds, great power shower, attentive staff, fast taxi calls if required and the breakfast was amazing! We really enjoyed our 3 night stay, thank you!

This charming, old world hotel has nicely decorated rooms and a fantastic breakfast included. They also have a large living room on the main floor with a well stocked honor bar. We reserved a "family room" for 4 adults. It was small but ok for one night. It has a queen size bed and two very uncomfortable slender single beds,... More

I stayed at this hotel for three nights and I found it excellent. The room was lovely, with tea making facilities, and the bed was one of the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. The en-suit shower was a very good size and there was an ample supply of white fluffy towels. The breakfast is superb (cooked to order)... More

Stayed just one night but already looking forward to a return visit. Our room on the first floor was small but had such a comfortable bed that even the noise from the road did not disturb our sleep. The only downside was the smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom which was very off putting. The sitting area and honesty... More

Stayed here only for one night more is the pity, room was boutique like and spotlessly clean. It's got the nicest bathroom of any hotel I've stayed in, Staff there aren't many are happy to help. There is an honesty bar! We would definitely come here again it's only about 10 minutes walk to the attractions.

At last, I've found a reasonably priced, central Edinburgh hotel that I would like to revisit! This is a small, friendly and attractively presented hotel with a pleasant lounge and honesty bar. The breakfast was without doubt the best hotel breakfast I have ever eaten.

Upon arriving and being given the wrong room we were inclined to be a bit miffed, but one free bottle of wine drunk around the cosy fire and we were feeling much happier! The hotel was slightly out of the way of the city centre, but definitely walkable (as is the whole city – great for toning legs!) and very... More

The hotel was clean and close to the town centre. Rooms were fairly small but perfectly adequate. I didn't have the breakfast as there are really nice places to get brunch nearby. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would recommend it.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. The location does not really match what you would expect it to be with the historical stone building. It is located within a regeneration zone nestled along with new apartment blocks (upmarket ones) and empty land. Turing right at the end of the road and after a short walk there is a... More
