Our second stay at this Hotel, last time we were in the main hotel at Number 6, this time we were in a suite next door but one at number 10. The room was enormous and fabulously oppulent. Room 1008, not sure what the other rooms are like but I would like 1008 next time we stay here. A 10... more

This is a lovely hotel in a quiet and very beautiful part of Edinburgh but only a short walk to Princes Street and other attractions. The decor is very tasteful and relaxing - extremely comfy beds, huge flat screen TV and our room had the most fantastice views over the City. The food was very good, one of the best... more

Talk about large prices and small rooms-this was by far and away the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. You could hardly walk round the bed, the wardrobe was 15inches wide so we could not hang all our clothes up, the bathroom was so small when you sat on the loo your knees were out of the door.... more

We go to Edinburgh each year to celebrate our wedding anniversary and visit the Festival; this year we decided to book the Christopher North after admiring their website. We arrived around 9.30pm. A stunning spacious room awaited us, complete with jacuzzi, giant tv, great decor and view - and champagne on ice from the management. This welcome extended to cooking... more

My wife and I had the most fantastic time at the Christopher North. It's a historic, listed building in a very swish part of town - quiet, yet very close to George Street and the Castle. Breakfast (complimentary) was delicious. The room was beautifully elegant (although it was high up in the house - two flights of stairs was a... more

I stayed in the hotel number 10 which seems to be part of the christopher hotel, is this two hotels or one i'm very confused? i was very disappointed with most about everything, the room was tiny with nothing you expect from a 5 or even 4 star hotel like a mini bar or a bathrobe or even a bath.... more

I always look up Tripadvisor before deciding upon a hotel and try to avoid hotels with mixed reviews because I always end up regretting. But this time, I was running out of time and all the hotels in Edinburgh seemed to be booked, so I decided to give this one a try. All in all, the stay was not that... more

Having originally booked into the Number Ten Hotel, I arrived in Edinburgh a little puzzled as to how to check in - the door was locked and the lights were off. I rang the bell, and from two doors down appeared a very cheerful manager, who explained that the buildings were part of the same hotel. He quickly took my... more

We booked to stay at this hotel over the New Year Period. When we arrived we were told we had been 'upgraded' to a city centre apartment. We didn't really want to accept this as we had researched this hotel and the area in which it was located and therefore had booked to stay in a particular hotel and location.... more
