I was in Edinburgh for the Moonwalk. My flight was delayed, but was told this was no problem and to call the number on my arrival at the airport and someone would meet me at the apartment. I finally arrived at 9.30pm. The apartment was ideal for what I required, equidistant from the city and the start line for the... More

Appartement was comfortabel. We stayed with 3 of us and had lots of space. There is Tesco nearby and pubs and restaurants. Prince Street is few minutes walking so the access to the center is perfect. Highly recommended.

It is an outstanding place in the centre of Edinburgh to stay. At a really great price I defiantly recommend it. We were on the top floor and have the best views around. On a clear day you can see the forth road bridge.

Had my hen do here and 9 of us stayed in the apartment. It was fantastic. So clean, modern and spacious. Would definitely recommend! Centrally located near shops, bars and Waverley Train station. Couldn't fault this place at all

Large rooms and high ceilings made for a relaxing atmosphere. The apartment is so big,we hosted breakfast for eighteen after our first night! We had a great time at this apartment. I stayed here with my cousins and siblings for 3 nights last March 23 to 26. We got the apartment at the basement with 4 bedrooms and a study that was converted into a bedroom making it a total of 5 bedrooms and 3 toilet and bath. The rooms were big, toilets... More

We were two couples (40+) and one single having nice three-night holiday in Edinburgh. 20 York Place was really a pleasant surprise: a warm and professional welcome and a spacious apartment with three bedroom and toilets. Plus full equipped kitchen and cosy livingroom. We enjoyed the whole stay. If you are more than one or two people travelling, 20 York... More

I booked 2 x 8 bed apartments for my Hen Weekend for myself and 13 others. The apartments were absolutely stunning and had all that we needed to make our weekend stay comfortable. Plenty of space for a large group, and the location couldn't have been better - 5 mins from Edinburgh Waverley Station, and 10 mins to the main... More

Stayed in 3 bedroomed apartment at top of the building. this meant climbing a LOT of stairs (so beware no lift). Apartment was lovely albeit the upkeep could do with just a little more attention to detail (missing batteries/ blown light bulbs/ bath not draining etc/ no chopping board) but other than that it was just perfect. Great location and... More

Staying in Broughton & Calton

Neighborhood Profile
Broughton & Calton
Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to malls and utilitarian housing, Broughton and Calton have long been transitional neighborhoods with a mixed identity. It’s here that Edinburgh’s gay village found a home in the 1980s. But gay culture is anything but overt along bustling epicenter Broughton Street; even if polished pubs, hip bistros, smart delis and art galleries all speak of affluent good taste. The top of Leith Walk is more ragged. This major thoroughfare boasts a famously gritty gay club, as well as a strip of good Indian restaurants. Regal Georgian and Victorian townhouses preside over largely deserted streets in Calton, where only the occasional restaurant or hotel brings much life. Even so, a steady trickle of idlers and picnickers pass by to climb Calton Hill for its wide-open lawns, wonderful city views, and curious monuments – an Athenian-style temple among them.
