We arrived a couple of hours before "check in" time. No problem at all to the wonderfully friendly Lady on reception. Pleasantly surprised with our room on the 4th floor....it was huge! as was the en-suite, and very clean indeed. Huge bed, good size tv, but no fridge or air con...these were the only minor minus points of our stay.... More

We were really impressed by the standard of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff. Food was excellent, and would definitely stay here again. Great location for exploring the city. We booked early, so got a great price which included breakfast.

We came for the Marathon over the weekend. Paid over £300 for the 2 nights. To say it is a 4* hotel it did not prove itself. Stayed here during a business trip, found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean, breakfast was very tasty and included haggis which was great for an ex-pat like me. Would definitely stay again. Got a very good price for this hotel through booking.com.

I recently stayed at this hotel on a business trip and was genuinely impressed. The rooms are comfortable, the location is ideal for the City Centre, the staff are very friendly, the breakfast is excellent and all in all the hotel offers tremendous value for money. Would thoroughly recommend and will stay there again

Apart from our check in, the stay was brilliant. I thought the rooms were great and hotel is located in a brilliant spot for tourists.. would recommend, but avoid the old lady in reception..wagon!

Nice greeting on arrival and a lovely room on 6th floor which was warm and comfortable, dinner in restaurant for evening meal menu was very nice, service good, food was lovely....overall just what you would expect from a Thistle Hotel in the Capital....Highly recommended
