Edinburgh is always a nice city, although the weather is a bit unpredictable; we were lucky though and Sunday and Monday morning the weather was fine. This time we stayed in Hilton Grosvenor, a bit on the Westend. As other reviews indicated, the club rooms are on the other side of the road, so I took care to order a... more

We stayed for 2 nights on a Saga/Hilton Break. Room 246 was at the Haymarket end of the hotel and noisy during the day due to road works - which may go on until 2011. The room was large and comfortable, but at the rack rate is heading towards expensive -£170 pr.pn.. It was better value on the package. We... more

We had 3 nights at the Hilton Grosvenor and had a room on the second floor of the main building (not Club Wing, so can't comment on that). The service was excellent, I had emailed to arrange that some of our relatives got rooms close to us and the staff was very helpful and quickly dealt with my request. Good... more

Not sure I understand some of the negative reviews. Perhaps this was because I was upgraded (Hilton Gold) to the Atholl Suite in the residences across the street from the main entrance. This room was the size of a whole floor of my home, complete with full sitting area, separate bath and shower, and a walk-in closet. The decor was... more

We stayed are the Hilton Grosvenor after beginning our vacation at the Hilton Caledonian a few blocks away and visiting other parts of Scotland. Our room was in the Grosvenor Club Wing, which is across the street from the rest of the hotel. The Club Wing is in need of a major renovation and we found our room to be... more

Stayed at Hilton Edinburgh Grosvenor with my partner and another couple for a long weekend (Friday to Monday), easy to get to from airport by coach, only 200 yards from Haymarket Train Station. The rooms were an OK size, really nice and clean. Excellent buffet breakfast, plenty of choice for meat eaters and veggies alike. Hotel is only 10 minutes... more

we arrived at the hotel which is situated in the Haymarket part of the city, its a 10 minute stroll to the city centre/princess st - we booked a de-lux suite and we were given a room on the top floor, thinking this was the penthouse suite far from it!!! the windows were so high that unless you were 6ft... more

This hotel has had some poor reviews (and we all look at those first!) so when I found I had been booked in by a friend I was concerned. I need not have worried. The staff were all very friendly, helpful and efficient. My single room was small, in the main house basement but nicely furnished and, best of all,... more

As with the previous review, we bagged a Delux Double B&B room for just over £90 for the night which, considering the high hotel prices in Edinburgh in general, and the quality of the room, was fantastic value. The staff were very friendly, both during booking and arrival. Having read previous reviews we specifically asked for a room in the... more
