Great location, quite and easy walking inot the centre BUT we booked two double rooms, phoned to ensure the were next door to each other and then on arrival found they weren't. Moved to a family room with the promise of a refund but this stil hasn't cme despite emails, phone calls and letter to their so called 'customer service'... more

The only good thing about this hotel was the price. To say the room was bare is an understatement. In a family room there were 4 hangers dangling from a rail. No wardrobe, no drawers, not even a shelf to put clothes on! One hard chair for us to share. A grotty looking sofa bed - unmade. A rock hard... more

This is the last time we stay in any Travelodge, ever. We stayed for two nights. We arrived on a warm sunny afternoon and were given the keycard to a dark room in the basement, which in the gloom looked empty and in need of furnishing, and the bed making up. We went back to reception and complained to the... more

The reception staff were generally friendly and helpful, as were the breakfast room staff. The room was basic, but spotlessly clean - for us it was the best part of our three night stay. Breakfast however, is definitely not a strong point - the scrambled eggs were unappetisingly dry after being left out on the hotplate, and the sausage (a... more

We stayed here for two nights in May, our double room was on the 3rd floor and was impeccably clean, bathroom looked brand new. Plenty of towels and pillows. Bed was very comfy. Only complaint with the room was that it was very hot and the window only opened a small way. As our room was at the front of... more

I did read some bad reviews of this hotel before booking and after having stayed here I can assure you it is nothing like that anymore. The carpeting was clean and looked new, the walls seemed newly painted inside the corridors and the rooms themselves. The room is a decent size and is a typcial travelodge room - no surprises.... more

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and were pleasently surprised at the standard, the room was large, clean with a comfortable bed I think some of the earlier reviews must have been posted prior to the renovation by Travelodge. The staff were efficient and helpful and although we were not allowed to leave our luggage on the day of... more

After reading some of the reviews for this hotel we were seriously worried when we arrived. What a surprise and relief! We may have been lucky as we didn't see any other rooms but ours was one of the large rooms at the front of the hotel with a 20 ft high bay window! The room was spotlessly clean, as... more

I've stayed in many Travelodges and this is a poor one. The room we had was tiny, only just enough room to walk around the bed, the heat was unbareable, we had the the window open 24/7 and still the room was boiling hot (this was in March and it wasn't particuly warm outside). Our room was made up everyday... more

I was abit worried after reading previous reviews about coming to this hotel. I must have been in a different hotel because everything was great. When I book a travelodge I don't expect luxury but I did feel this was one of the best travelodge's I have stayed in and I have been in quite a few because of work.... more
