This hotel was excellent value for money. It was clean and the staff very helpful. The hotel is only a couple of miles from the centre of Edinburgh so location is perfect and only £7.50 in a taxi. I would definitely stay at the Learmonth again and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Spent a few days here. A good clean Travelodge. Situated in an old building with lots of character. A lovely twisty staircase as well as a lift. A pleasant 20 minute or so walk into the city centre. Lots of very regular busses depart from the front of the hotel as well if needed.

Came from Northern ireland over to see a friend at uni from the 17th to the 20th of February. We had fantastic time, room was nice but the window didn't open. Excellent base for exploring the city. Friendly staff, nice clean room, lovely food, great location. Plenty of buses in & out of town, but also close enough to walk. We bussed in the mornings & walked back in the evenings. All for a great price, too. No complaints at all.
