Great building (from outside) in really quiet location, walking distance to town centre. What a horrible rooms. Yes I know it's a cheap hotel but really all experience was really bad. Room was dark , floor in room sticky , everything looked like from 70's , horrible curtains (yes, I do know it's a travelodge style ) , few hangers... More

Best travelodge I've stayed in and can't really fault it. Attractive building in a well to do, quiet, conservation area. I stayed for a weekend and parking is free after 5.30pm Friday, and all weekend, on the on-street parking outside the hotel. No probs finding a space and no worries about the car. Inside was great. High ceilings, clean and... More

We stayed here for New Years Eve for two nights (me, my husband and 6 year old son). The hotel is a 10 minute walk from Princess Street set in a nice residential street. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and check-in was simple. Our room was enormous with a floor to ceiling bay window. We had a double... More

This Travelodge has been refurbished and is welcoming. The reception staff were few but friendly and helpful. The double room with small bathroom was clean and of a good standard. The bed had a comfortable deep mattress. The only real downside was lack of drawer space. There were no chests of drawers or bedside cabinets and for a couple staying for four... More

My daughter and family had to call the staff in the middle of the night due to child being sick. Could not do enough for them clean linen helped make the beds up ect. Myself and my boyfriend spent one night at this hotel. First of all you get what you pay for- we paid just under £40 for one night, which is considerably good value for a hotel in Edinburgh in December. The good things about this hotel is that is it literally a 10 minute walk from the West End of Prince's... More

Arrived in evening - weren't sure about parking outside as said permit holders only so asked on reception. Rather "dopey" receptionist couldn't understand why I might think that I wouldn't be allowed to park in a permit holder's space!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eventually he said he would check with a colleague and came back with an answer - anyone could park anywhere at... More

From the greeting at the reception desk through to the checkout; this Travelodge experience was amasingly good.Having stayed in many Travelodges over the years I had become used to the straightforward manner that the chain treated thier customers. What made the Edinburgh Learmonth different was the attitude of the staff. The guy on reception when I arrived made me welcome... More

This travelodge is very convenient for the centre of Edinburgh. There are many nice restaurants and bars about 10 mins walk away. The hotel itself is an old building but modern inside. My room was very small but that didn't bother me.The bed was clean and comfortable.I missed having a hairdryer which I didn't notice until after I'd washed my hair. The outlook from...
