Helpful staff and quiet location high standard for facilities and rooms more

So, I went to Edinburgh to see the Fringe Festival. The hotel is a 20-minute bus or taxi ride away from Edinburgh City Center. Bus will cost you 1.20 GBP, a taxi about 12-14 GBP. Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The staff were great and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good if a little pricey and the hotel is on a very good and frequent bus route into the centre of Edinburgh. All in all a great hotel and I'd definitely stay here again. more

This used to be my local while studying in Edinburgh so was really looking forward to my stay. What a disappointment! The hotel looked lovely from the outside, the room was large and acceptable and the views up Corstorphine Hill were spectacular! Stayed one night. Staff were all friendly. Asked for a change of room as one I was first given was beside main corridor door. Swaped no problem. Room v modern. Very clean and comfortable. Stayed for 3 nights. the room was good and the bathroom was very good. Although it may looks like that the hotel is far from city but its not. There is bus stop right next to the hotel which is very convenient and has very good service. I can only give 2 star for cleanliness. The carpet didnt look fresh... more

good food, excellent staff and service. our room (71) needed a bit of redocoration. but overall the hotel is in good nick. leave your car at the hotel and get day pass bus ticket for £3 too see the sights.bus stop just round the corner more

We were very unlucky with the room we got. Very far from the pictures on the website. Partially loft room with a small window that looks mostly on the roof. i was surprised how much you got here. its rated a 3 star but it must be pushing for a fourth. i must say the food is very basic, not the freshest either. room was fantastic and included a free bottle of wine. the service was ok, only stopped here one night as was flying from edinburgh airport the next... more
