Really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The staff were great and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good if a little pricey and the hotel is on a very good and frequent bus route into the centre of Edinburgh. All in all a great hotel and I'd definitely stay here again. more

This used to be my local while studying in Edinburgh so was really looking forward to my stay. What a disappointment! The hotel looked lovely from the outside, the room was large and acceptable and the views up Corstorphine Hill were spectacular! The only initial problem was a lack of car parking spaces and ended up struggling with cases up... more

Thank you for your feedback following your stay with us at the Best Western Edinburgh Capital Hotel. I was very sorry to hear of the issues you experienced during your stay. I note from your details that you visited in july 2008. I was appointed as manager here in September 2008 and have formed a new team since then. I...

Stayed one night. Staff were all friendly. Asked for a change of room as one I was first given was beside main corridor door. Swaped no problem. Room v modern. Very clean and comfortable. Ample parking. No meals taken so can't comment on restaurant. I had not need for internet service so do not know what is on offer. The... more

Stayed for 3 nights. the room was good and the bathroom was very good. Although it may looks like that the hotel is far from city but its not. There is bus stop right next to the hotel which is very convenient and has very good service. I can only give 2 star for cleanliness. The carpet didnt look fresh... more

We were very unlucky with the room we got. Very far from the pictures on the website. Partially loft room with a small window that looks mostly on the roof. Heater was broken but were provided with elec one quickly. Shower didn't work well either. Good points: clean, great breakfast and free access to the gym and pool which was... more

We stayed in this hotel before flying out of Edinburgh airport the following morning, we choose this hotel because of location and the pictures on the internet made the bedrooms look stylish and modern. When we arrived the reception area was very stylish and the front of the hotel looked modern, the room we were given was very dated and... more

We stayed in the Best Western Capitlal hotel in Edinburgh over New Year. The hotel was comfortable, although it was not within easy walking distance of the city, meaning we had to catch busses or taxis to get to the city. The bus stop is a few hundred metres from the hotel, so it is still easily accessible. We were... more

I was there from September 07 to May 08 Monday to Friday (yes you read well, EIGHT months!). I was working on a project very close by and the location couldn't be better: quite nice area, lots of restaurants and shops in Costorphine and you can get into the town centre by car in about 10 minutes or so. The... more
