Best Western Hotels are all independantly operated and so the quality can differ quite a bit. I booked this one on the advice of a company I was visiting on a business trip. Check in was a bit slow. The receptionist (who seemed to be from Eastern Europe) was trying to help an American with some directions and spent several... More

We had a wonderful time at the Braid Hills hotel. I found the styling of the hotel to be more 4 star than 3. There was a beautiful staircase and the room was very classic. There was a lovely ceramic tea set including tea pot in the room which I though was a lovely touch. I am growing tired of... More

I usually find dthe Best Western always give value and the staff attitude is very helpful, this is no exception. They all take pride in the service and I was warmly greeted and even had the manager checking that the room was warm enough. For the business traveller they provide WIFI and a decent desk and plenty of power sockets.... More

First the positives because the hotel has many good things going for it. The staff appeared efficient, the price for our room represented decent value, the good bus service into the city allows one to park up for free and the rooms are a reasonable size if a little dated. However when we arrived we were given a room which... More

Nice air of old fashioned comfort and elegance. Great breakfast. Quite expensive even with pre-payment discount. Lack of english speaking ability on front desk was poor first impression though the Irish lady the next time was excellent. Very good bus service to City Centre (St Andrews Square at end of George Street). No disabled access - listed building status prevents. More

Would like to start by saying all the people who dont rate this hotel must be on some sort of ego trip, please write accurate comments or its a waste of time for other people. Booked in with a party of 8 for the weekend , reception easy and friendly room very clean and tidy. Breakfast magic especially the Italian... More

We have just got back from staying at the Braid Hills Hotel and all we can say is we found that it was much much better than some of the reviews have suggested. I was so worried about staying before we went that I nearly phoned to cancel. So glad I didn't. We were a total of five, two couples... More

Okay, where to begin. As my daughter (4yrs old) was doing the BUPA fun run on the 2nd October we thought we make a big deal of it. Well it was her first run. So we decided to stay over night and the whole family would come through. As the reviews for this hotel was mixed I decided that I... More

I have stayed at the Braid Hills Hotel in Edinburgh twice now and I can promise you there will not be a third. The complimentary breakfast if fantastic but when you get kicked out of the hotel after 2 nights it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. We confirmed our 3 night reservation with the hostess (who had an... More
