Booked this hotel last minute after deciding to stay overnight rather than drive up and then back down to Yorkshire on the same day. Hotel situated out of the city and faces a very nice public park. When we arrived, and although we had booked via their own website, there seemed to be no record of our booking. However, we... More

we have just been to Edinburgh for a Tennis Tournament and was lucky enough to speak to a very very helpful lady on reception who the management should promote to the Face on Braids Hill Hotel, nothing was to much trouble for this lady and she knew everything about Edinburgh, I heard her help guest after guest with any problem... Having been recommended this hotel my concern is that it is a Best Western but Melanie looks after you as soon as you arrive on reception and then you go into the restaurants and bar there Santigo and Julie Ann make you feel very much at home, the food is good and the service better. The rooms are tired but... More

Eaten here several times this year and has always been very good. Tasty food and lovely views if you are near s window. Service is good too. They also have s bar menu and pretty terrace where you can sit outside.

Booked and paid for a twin delux room which was confirmed on arrival. Got a family room up in the roof which overlooked a dirty lead roof and the back area of the hotel. 80's décor, tatty room, tiny bathroom. The double bed was broken and the single bed was under the eaves so had very little headroom. Didn't complain... More

Stayed at this hotel while attending training. It is an old hotel but this adds to its charm. Good hotel in quiet surroundings. Staff were all excellent and couldn't be faulted. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Food was very good and tasty. Would definetly return on another vist to Edinburgh.

Very nice hotel, quiet location but easy to get to town on buses running every ten minutes. Really friendly staff. Rooms are spacious and beautiful bathroom. Couldn't fault this hotel at all. Breakfast buffet was really nice.

First time in a Best Western recently, and we were pleasantly surprised. The room was comfortable and quiet, and the front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, especially Triona. The restaurant was satisfactory, but not a very extensive menu - we understand that this is due to change when they resolve their staff shortage. Breakfast was very good. Although... More

We have driven past here a number of times, what a mistake. Ok, our room was a bit out of date ( the hotel is undergoing refurbishment) but the room was extremely spacious, comfortable and clean. The car park is free, the wifi is free and there is a frequent bus service (no. 10 & 15) into town. Service is... More

A very enjoyable hotel. Excellent service, decor, breakfast, rooms, all highly recommended. Staff always warm, welcoming and attentive. My perennial choice when in Edinburgh. My only quibble would be the limited parking.

Thank you for very much for your review. We are pleased that you enjoyed your stay at the hotel. We pride ourselves on our high quality service and our warm Scottish hospitality. However, we were rather puzzled by your comment that there is limited parking available, as we have quite a large carpark with 48 spaces for our guests, as... More
