Highly recommend to families - we stayed on a Friday evening with our 2 year old daughter with no problems. Spa and pool excellent and the brasserie was very good too. Overall, I'd say it was good for the money - good service, no noise (we were in the modern part of the hotel),lovely clean room, excellent facilities in the... more

The website for Norton House shows a lovely old looking building. While this is indeed present at the hotel it is slightly misleading. The old, country house style part of the hotel is quite small with very few bedrooms. Instead most of the rooms are in a new block. Our new room was a good size, with a lovely modern... more

Nice hotel with beautiful surroundings and lovely spa although I don't know if I could describe it as a retreat style hotel!!I was attending a wedding there and the reception was beautiful. The food was excellent as was the waiting staff and service. A great day was had by everyone. Myself and my partner were staying in one of the... more

Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights to celebrate wedding anniversary. It is close to the airport (around 10 minutes by taxi), but we were not troubled by aircraft noise. Norton House is set in lovely grounds and is a very peaceful place to stay. We were in the newer part of the hotel overlooking the gardens. The room was... more

My partner and I stayed in the Norton House Hotel for 2 nights at the end of March as we were attending a wedding in the hotel's Garden Suite. We had a standard room overlooking the gardens and the room was very well appointed. Fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch and the two easy chairs and table... more

After my wife stayed here for a night last year, and the general reputation of this hotel, we were looking forward, with much expectation, to a relaxing break. Unfortunately the hotel does not live up to the reputation. Check-in was reasonably efficient but we were handed a bulk produced letter explaining the restaurants and spa facilities. I would have thought... more

Me and my partner (both in our 20's) stayed a the Norton for Valentines Weekend. We booked a winter dinner, bed and breakfast deal for £200 for both of us, and got a free upgrade from a standard double to an executive room (due to time of booking). The deputy manager, Chris, was extremely friendly and helpful. Even though the... more
