Stayed here whilst on a business trip. Much better than the usual hotels I end up in. Rooms were spotless, food superb and staff very friendly. Well away from the roads so a superb nights sleep Shame I couldnt make use of more of the facilities as I was only there for the one night. Many of the other customers... more

Rooms are a good size, as is the pool and spa area. Shame about the restaurant food, eaten here a few times and its never very good - go into town! more

Stayed in a wonderful Executive room and felt completely spoilt. Great bed, big flatscreen TV, fridge with mil & water, fantastic bathroom with underfloor heating (bliss) and a superb shower, TV in bathroom too. Modern yet Scottish decor. Lovely food and a great breakfast. It surely does feel like you are a million miles away from Edinburgh as it is... more

Return visit to the Norton House and was given a free upgrade to executive room (as a result of feedback on disappointing previous visit), room was as before but bathroom has underfloor heating and tv. Room itself is more spacious and had a balcony (603). As I was staying for a few days took advantage of the facilites in the... more

On a two day business event. Meeting room great apart from no blinds just open or shut curtains (electric). Chap that looked after us was good (apart from couldn't use creativity to get tea bags they had run out of - there are two supermarkets within a mile). Food good - though VERY carb heavy or fried buffet food. Evening... more

I stayed at the Norton House Hotel in October 2008 and overall enjoyed my stay. I had the Queensferry Room, just above the main entrance, but did not hear any noise from either inside or outside, and the curtains shut out all of the light from outside (the "display" lights are left on all night). Service was mainly good, although... more

I stayed in this hotel whilst in Edinburgh on business. Like other reviews I would agree that the staff were really helpful and polite. We used the spa facilities on the day we arrived which were really good and not busy. I can recommend eating in the Brasserie which we did on the first evening but on the second evening... more

A new extension has been built here recently that I stayed in. It was lovely. 42 inch plasma, tv in bath, seperate rain shower, speakers in bathroom, plenty of space and very nice bed. They could have supplied some more TV channels. Only other downside was the breakfast. They forgot about my order and when it finally turned up after... more
