Stayed here for one night last weekend when I was attending a wedding at Prestonfeild house. I had a single room which was very small but very clean and comfortable. The house itself was a little old fashioned but very clean and peaceful. Location was ideal for me and close to everything you really need. Main owner/manager was really helpful... More

We were very pleased with the accommodation which was roomy, clean and well furnished. The en-suite(shower only), although small was clean and well-maintained. On a convenient bus run into the city centre and passing the Festival Theatre. Bus stop outside the B&B and regular buses into city. The owners were very welcoming and helped when I unfortunately left my suitcase... More

A very pleasant trip - this was a convenient location for visiting Edinburgh, the B&B was nice and traditional and good value, I met the recent new owners who gave a friendly welcome and had a good local knowledge for visiting the area.

This Lovely building is in a great location for exploring Edinburgh (Or attending the rugby!) There is a bus stop right outside that goes straight to the city centre, it's perfectly walkable too. The greeting upon arrival was great, the guys that run The Abcorn are very friendly and approachable, they really seem to care about your stay. Our room... More

We were really happy with our stay - we could not have been made to feel more welcome. Lovely touches from gift wrapped shortbread biscuits to a 'wee dram' of whisky licquer on our way out to celebrate New Years Eve and very welcoming hosts. Easy to get into the city on foot or by bus, and a decent breakfast.... More

Under a very friendly forward thinking new manager, I'd stay here again definately. Rooms were large and clean and secure, and very handy for the city centre and the 'Bridges'. Price was great and you got a lot for it. Cooked breakfast was fine. For a 3 star at this price so near the centre? I'll come and come again.... More

Stay at the Abcorn - don't! Basic in the extreme with the most appalling breakfast I have ever been offered, anywhere. This was my second stay but will very definitely be my last. I am not sure what has happened since my first stay 3 years ago which was fine. I felt as if I was in a 1950s timewarp... More

I stayed here for two nights this week while in Edinburgh and was very happy with the accommodation. The location is excellent both for gettong downtown and for shopping. The rooms are nice sizes, bathrooms are super small but considering how little time you spend in them this doesn't matter. the only complaint I had was that as my room... More
