The hotel has just been renovated and they have done a superb job, the new bedrooms are out of this world especially the blue room. The bar area and the whole entrance has been done to a very high standard. The food is exceptional and would recommend hotel to stay in when visiting Edinburgh. The staff and owner are very... More

Lovely hotel. Excellent location. Can either walk or bus hop from right outside into the centre. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Food very nice. Stayed in newer building across the road, which I feel is prob not the best choice. Would like to try the more traditional hotel next time. Our room was small and dark (basement floor). The bathroom... More

Hi there Thanks for taking the time to post your review. I believe you stayed in the Dunstane City Hotel which is our sister hotel, a more modern boutique feel in general. Next time you visit Edinburgh you should try the Dunstane House Hotel and compare the two experiences! Thanks again Samantha Wright More

My husband and I stayed at the Dunstane House Hotel for three nights in October 2011. We had taken the train from London and after a not-so-great experience at our hotel there, this was definitely a lovely change. The hotel was very easy to find as it is along the main road when you exit the train station. We chose... More

This is the second time I have stayed at Dunstane and I will keep returning! Level of staff interaction, knowledge and efficiency is absolutely spot on! I also highly recommend The Skerries for dining. This team has it hands above! All around just superior. More

Stayed for one night as we were looking for somewhere near Murrayfield Stadium. Nice surprise on arrival, as we had been upgraded to a four poster room. Not the biggest room, and the bathroom was very small, however, there was a table and a couple of comfortable chairs. The bed was really comfortable, we both had a very good sleep,... More

We stayed one night and arrived very early (8.00am) on first morning. We were made very welcome and shown to our room which was available. The hotel was clean, quiet, traditional, small, and very nice - service was excellent. Great advantage was the airport bus stopped right outside the hotel (about 20 mins from airport) and the bus runs every... More

We have just come back from 4 days staying at the DHH. We had a large delux 4 poster room (absolutely fab! ). We were on the main road and couldn't hear a thing traffic wise. The bathroom had lovely toiletries, was very clean, but not as nice as the room. The room was immaculate! infact the whole hotel is... More

We stayed two nights in this lovely hotel. Our room was very nice, beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the shower room was a bit small but everything was spotlessly clean, towels were lovely and nice complimentary toiletries. The bar was cosy with a great selection of beers, wine and whiskys. Our dinner was great with a particularly tasty Seafood Chowder.... More

We stayed here twice in a two week period. First time for just one night, second visit we stayed for 4 nights. The first time we were on the third floor in a room with two dormers, nice views but a bit noisey on the street side. The room had a wonderful Victorian style sky light. Second stay we were... More

We had a fantastic time. We booked after looking at reviews on tripadvisor and getting a reasonable rate. We couldn't afford the deluxe four poster room but the others looked lovely and romantic any way so plumped for a cheaper option for our romantic city break. We booked through one of the booking sites on here and in the "comments... More

Hi there Thank you so much for your feedback after your stay. We do try where ever possible to take on board people special requests when they book and I am pleased we were able to give you a wee treat of a free upgrade to a four poster (even if it was just for one night!). I am glad... More
