I've read some of the reviews below and I totally agree with the noisy comments. You can hear absolutely everything from the rooms round about. The hotel was very nice, the staff bent over backwards to help you, the food was excellent, and the room was superb more
The hotel was clean and the staff pleasant. However, the hotel has a "neuvo euro-pop" design that puts appearance ahead of function. The indirect lighting in the rooms is nearly useless. This moderately priced hotel is just a short 15 minute walk to bustling Princes Street! Our room was perfectly positioned at the end of the hallway. It was beautifully furnished with modern decor. The bathroom was absolutely beautiful! The rubber ducky in the shower gave us a nice laugh. The free wireless Internet was very helpful. more

The hotel made a great mistake. It over-charged me 300 pounds. When I discovered the problem from my bank-statement, I sent e-mail to the hote. However, no reply was got. Then, I phoned it directly. Fantastic bed,extremley friendly staff,perfect location[bus stop outside door 5 min to town centre or train station approx 7 mins away]clean well kept room and room only was excellent value for money but do not get breakfast here,its £13.50 per person and its poor at best. Lifts not working, carpets dirty, facing a noisey road - nothing to recommend it really - but it does do a good breakfast (and all rooms have a funky pink duck in them). The reception area is also not fantastic. Avoid if you can find a better alternative... more
Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, our lift was out of order during your stay due to failed safety gear. I am happy to report that this issue has now been resolved and our lift is fully operational again. The lift (the only one) was out of order from our arrival to our departure (5 days). Tuesday 18 we've been waken up at 8:00 AM from workers hammering and drilling. The previous reviews are correct, this is a clean hotel, but definitely needs a top to bottom refreshment of rooms and infrastructure. Carpet is stained in the hallways.
