Much closer to the City and Royal Mile than you might think with a short walk across The Meadows or a frequent bus from the nearby stop. Bruntsfield and Morningside are attractive suburbs with interesting shops. We chose this hotel solely on the reviews of others. We were not disappointed. We found all aspects of the hotel were very good and despite a large party in the restuarant one night, the service did not suffer as the staff worked extra hard to keep the customers happy. more

This hotel has renovated and greatly improved its restaurant facilities since we last stayed here a couple of years ago. The main building remains a warren of corridors and stairs and the rooms retain their uneven creaky floors but all is clean and tidy, the staff friendly, helpful and efficient and both dinner and breakfast well prepared and nicely presented.... more

Best Western do it again. All independent but all of a very high standard. We had a huge room (23) with bath and shower - double bed and single bed for our daughter. Clean, comfortable and friendly. Just returned from a 3 day break here and enjoyed thorougly. Friendly helpful staff and all facilities of good standard.
