Great hotel, great location, great breakfast. Lovely comfortable and roomy rooms. 5 minute walk to Holyrood House and 5 minute walk to The Royal Mile. 10 min walk to Edinburgh Castle. A lovely little cafe just 2 mins up the road called Foodies which also had free wifi.

I stayed two nights for business and was impressed overall though to me it was a little dated, especially the rooms. However the room I had was huge with a separate sitting area and desk, large widescreen TV and a very comfortable bed. The room was well equipped but the furnishings were a bit dated as was the carpet and... More

Spent a few days in Edinburgh and picked this hotel almost at random (without knowing/understanding the layout of Edinburgh). Very close to Waverly station (if that is how you're arriving), located 1 block off of the Royal mile, extremely quiet location (sandwiched basically between the new Parliament building and an office building which contains BBC Scotland, among other things, and... I stayed here a few months ago and me and a friend booked an exec room which was on the 6th floor, it was gorgeous, floor to ceiling windows and very well appointed. I did ask to see a twin room as my friend had booked a twin and this was adorable. A chap from concierge came up to my... More

Great location and lovely clean hotel with great staff. Superb leisure facilities, well equipped gym and good size pool. The drinks at the bar are really expensive as is the food in the restaurant....it was over £8 for a large glass of wine, £14 for 2 vodkas and a mixer of coke, there's a Tesco Metro on the next block... We stayed here very recently for 2 nights and were delighted wth our choice. All staff we came into contact with were very helpful and friendly. We prebooked our car into the hotel car park and it was taken for valet parking, cost £25 per night. Had we taken a chance and parked when we arrived it would have been... More

This hotel is perfectly places for visiting Holyrood Palace, Dynamic Earth and The Scottish Parliament. Its also a short walk away from the historic Royal Mile. Rooms are fine - perfectly acceptable and comfortable but decor is slightly dated. The Club rooms are lovely and if budget can stretch to one then I cant recommend this highly enough. Nice little...
