Warm and welcoming hotel with lovely accommodations. This boutique style hotel sits on a quiet street. It's been restores nicely and has lovely bay windows. The room service was amazing. We had the pigeon starter, crayfish linguine and nachos and I highly recommend. I am sure anything from the menu is delightful. It was all very reasonably priced with a... More

The hotel was in a good location, not too far from city centre (around 20 minute walk). There is plenty of onstreet parking available at £1.20p/hour but the meter only runs between 8:30am-5:30pm so not too expensive. The hotel is situated in a nice, quiet street on the outskirts of town. There are local shops within a few minutes walk.... More

We spent 2 nights here on a special deal for dinner.bed and breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our visit. Very comfortable twin room with huge bathroom-good hospitality tray and quality toiletries. Dinner on both nights was excellent and the staff were polite and attentive

We enjoyed the stay. Our room was small, but nice, breakfast was good, and the staff was friendly. We booked the day of as we decided to detour in to Scotland from London for a show, so our choices were limited, but I'm sure if you book ahead of time there will be better room options than our small room.... We stayed at the Channings for three nights and found it to be a very pleasant hotel. The center is in walking distance, so is Stockbridge - a very nice an cosy part of Edinburgh. The reception area is done up very nicely and stylish. Our room was quite big and everything was working well. The staff at reception was... More

Wonderful to be back. My Channings experience started when I called the week before my visit to ask if I could have room 3 again as it is on the ground floor and quiet, therefore ideal for a post nighttime marathon with associated aches and need for sleep! A very friendly receptionist apologized that this room was undergoing refurbishment but... More

We should have realized that our stay was not going to meet expectation based upon our check in experience. The answers and information provided raised more questions than addressed our questions. Parking is an issue as it is on street parking which is very limited. The elevator malfunctioned and we had luggage and golf clubs to carry. The room was... More

We stayed a few days at Channings at the end of our journey. The hotel is a number of combined row houses. This gives Channings many charming dining and living rooms, some with fireplaces, to rest and enjoy the Scottish ambiance. If you include breakfast it is served in their attached restaurant and it is worth the money. Our room... More

Me and my fiance stay here for the weeked, when we first arrived we noticed there was an issue with the toilet wasn't flushing, we notified the staff and they were apologetic and then upgraded our room. The room was lovely and spacious. The bed itself was extremely comfortable, we didn't want to get out of it! The breakfast was... More

I am not sure if this guest has the correct hotel - Channings is a mid terrace property and there has been no building work of any nature in the vicinity. If the guest would like to contact me directly at leon.kiteley@theedinburghcollection.com and offer more details I would be happy to hear from them. Leon Kiteley General Manager More
