Lovely hotel off the beaten path. Bed and bath were huge, though room and TV small. More than I expected from a European/British hotel. Quiet street and very pleasant staff. The Channings hotel is located on a quiet side street to the North West of the city centre and has a very pleasant reception area with an open fire and comfy seating. Travelled with a group of 13 who all were very happy with this hotel. Rooms of good quality well finished and very clean. Staff genuininely very friendly and helpful. We will visit again shortly. Good location with only short ride to centre. more

We really enjoyed our stay, only 15 minute walk into the city centre which was very pleasant. All staff we came across were very friendly and helpful. We absolutely loved Channings! The room, staff, and location were wonderful! We would definitely stay here again. Everything about the place is charming and romantic! To top it all off, the price was unbeatable. The only downside (for us) was the restaurant/bar. The food and atmosphere were great, but the service was definitely lacking. No big deal, though...we'll be back! more
