This apartment was perfect for 2 couples: we had 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms plus washer/dryer. The concierges were friendly and helpful. Location was great - 10 minute walk to the Royal Mile. Quiet, clean, spacious - exactly as pictured and advertised. BONUS: They gave us a little breakfast basket so we didn't have to stop at the store. We... More

It was an amazing staying and I will visit Edinburgh next month and going to stay at the same apartment. Everything is served for breakfast for free with milk and bread which was a really nice touch from the hotel. I really recommended as it is near by the city centre and Edinburgh sightseeing. السلام عليكم، أنصح بهذا الفندق للعائلات... More

We had to visit a sick relation and this was the perfect place to stay. Clean, central, spacious, wifi that worked, breakfast essentials, dvds if required, friendly staff and parking albeit there is a charge. We had a positive experience - this was the second time we had stayed - will return.

We had a lovely stay at the Knight Residence. The apartment was excellent - a good balance between homely and stylish. But even better was the staff - they were courteous, knowledgable, incredibly helpful and always in a cheery mood! Couldn't have asked for better and we will definitely be recommending these apartments.

Christopher's welcome was extremely warm. A helpful and happy greeting prefaced a charming family stay. The apartment was clean and well maintained. Beds a tad lumpy but overall to be heartily recommended!

We have stayed in lots of different apartments in Edinburgh. The knight Residence is in our opinion the best so far. Great location, friendly staff and a well equipped spotlessly clean apartment. We will definitely be back. Well done.

Staying in West End

Neighborhood Profile
West End
Prevailing winds meant that most cities that grew in industrial Britain had their most desirable neighborhoods to the west – upwind of factory fumes. Edinburgh was no exception, with its wealthiest citizens settling in its West End and leaving behind grand Georgian townhouses, private gardens and genteel crescents. These backstreets remain as dignified and sleepy as ever, and most of the action here lies along the district’s busy main roads. Lothian Road connects to southern Edinburgh and harbors a vague entertainment district: three theaters and the city’s main indie cinema. All attract a select crowd, the sort who appreciate the Saturday Edinburgh’s Farmers’ Market around the corner. The West End’s other great thoroughfare, Shandwick Place, is dominated by trams trundling out to the suburbs and airport, and shoppers picking up last-minute items before hopping aboard.
