After a last minute decision to visit Edinburgh, I found this hotel for a reasonable price on a comparison website. I stayed here with a friend and we were both impressed with the quality of the room and especially the bathroom! The hotel is only a short walk from Waverley Station and Princes Street. We stayed in an executive double... More

This hotel is situated in an excellent part of Edinburgh - only a short walk to the shops, art galleries aand restaurants. It also represents excellent value and I will be staying again. It is tastefully decorated and the staff are both efficient and welcoming. Breakfasts delicious. The bedrooms at the rear are very quiet and overlook the Firth of... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night in February as 2 couples, booked separately but luckily were given rooms right next door and infact the only rooms on the floor - 17 & 19 (we never did find room 18). We booked on the day through the hoteltonight app and the rooms were about £70 each, however we paid less... More

I do not know how anyone can say that this hotel is terrible. I think it is an absolutely fabulous place to stay if you are visiting Edinburgh. We arrived for a two night stay which we had booked with superbreaks.com. We had come for a Valentine break but had to come early as it was fully booked for Valentines... More

My wife and I recently stayed in the Royal Scots Club and had a very disapointing experience. Upon our arrival on Friday night we were surprised to find our room contained two single beds rather than the double bed that we booked. When we checked with reception we were told that our reservation had a note which specifically requested that... More

Thank you for posting your review of the Royal Scots Club. I was very sorry to learn of the misunderstanding concerning your reservation. On this occasion the agent you booked your room through had requested a twin room and that is what we provided. We will always do our best to accommodate our guests requests but on your arrival we... I booked this hotel for a 2 night stay and got it at almost a 50% discount. Given this fact I think I would have been unhappy if I had paid full price. Firstly we were given a lovely room overlooking Queen St gardens with one major problem, it absolutely reeked (Scots for smelled) of fresh paint. I asked to... More

This was our 3rd stay at RSC this time in the lovely room 16. The room is large well furnished and well appointed. It has a very comfortable large 4 poster bed. The RSC is a memorial opened after WW1 to those who served in The Royal Scots, the 1st Regiment of the British Army . My Gt Grandfather was... More

First - this was my first time in Edinburgh, and I expected a dreary week. Far from it, I arrived in blue skies! No rain until I was at the airport and leaving. The Royal Scots Club was the accomodation and the venue provide for a workshop I attended. I have no knowledge of the costs and remain neutral. That... More

Stayed for two nights on business. Excellent location and friendly staff. Room was large and well equipped with very comfortable bed. Breakfast was fresh and cooked to order. Only downside as far as I was concerned was that my room was at the end of a corridor next to an empty function room. Would recommend and will stay again.
