We stayed here for four nights when I was doing a little research at National Library. I was a little concerned what it would be like as it was such a good price. I need not have worried. We booked a basement room to save costs but the room was much nicer than I expected and still had a full... More

upon booking the hotel asks for time of arrival, i told then 12 but just to drop off my bags and check in at two. the wonderful staff had my room ready by 12. two hours early! i had booked a single but they surprised me with a double for no extra charge. the bed was comfortable and the room... My Husband 14 yr old son and I shared a first floor rear family room for 3 nights. An impressive old Edinburgh Georgian terrace, in a great location across the road from Haymarket Station and a 10 minute walk from the main shopping streets & attractions. The B&B is comfortable, nice and clean with a lovely lounge/tv/reading area looking out... More

Stayed at the Glenora for the 3rd time and not disappointed. So convenient for Haymarket Railway station in Edinburgh (literally almost across the road) . The place is nice and clean (always a plus of course) with friendly helpful staff and a nice breakfast too.

This B&B is very well-located, specially if you rented a car as it is almost a straight line from the airport, and a few minutes from the city attractions. The strongest point is the breakfast served! All carefully prepared and arranged and served by very friendly people. On the negative side, the bathroom is very small, shower water has no... More

Fawlty Towers and some. On arrival, hot water coming out of both taps; Intermittent Wi-Fi; asked for twin beds, quiet room high floor - got double room in basement next to kitchen, woken by noisy staff preparing breakfast which surpassed the traffic noise from outside. Buses rerouted here while tram workings going on; dingy rooms and tired furniture and décor;... More

Pretty poor experience at this hotel. Proprietors not on site so no one to complain to. Stayed in room 8 which faced the road. Beds reasonably comfortable but there was a terrible buzzing noise in the room which made it extremely difficult to sleep. In fact it was easier to have the window open and sleep through the traffic noise... More

The Glenora Hotel experience started well, it had many awards and supposed endorsements on the door and the man who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful. We got in late, so I didn't really get a great look at the main floor, but it seemed fine and the wifi was adequate. The problem was the room, we stayed... More

I stayed in a small single room for 4 nights during the Festival. Room was clean and quiet, no amenities to speak of. Spartan is a good description. The room was clean and breakfast was ok. Very convenient to airport bus and Haymarket train station. My biggest complaint, shared by other guests during the time of my stay, was that... More

Stayed here for two nights during the Open. Great position for central Edinburgh and The Haymarket, sadly no car parking and the nearest secure car park is quite a trek ( for me with dodgy hips) but £6 in a taxi. Lots of traffic pass the front of the hotel partly due to the Tram line works going on and... More
